Dr. Salma Mannan-Hilaly, MD

Dr. Hilaly is professional, thorough and competent. But of equal Importance, she is kind, Thoughtful, compassionate and caring.

I have been with Dr. Hilaly for years. She is very thorough. Office staff at one time were extremely busy, still are, but with Saturday appointments hours available, it eases the time to not only get through to her office, but. I have never found her staff to be rude. She takes the time to listen and loves her work. I would recommend her heartily.

Dr Hilaly is a great doctor who provides excellent service. But most of her office staff needs lessons in communication and telephone etiquette. Because they’re either hearing impaired or just plain ignorant. When visiting in person due to the staff not wanting to answer the phone they’re even worse. I think they all need write up for poor performance but ad far as my position and observations. Dr. Hilaly, the nurse practitioner and the young nurse who takes the vitals and the nurse who helps you after seeing the doctor or nurse practitioner to set up the follow up appointments are great

Dr. Hilaly seems like a decent doctor. However, the office she works in is abysmal. I am not sure why the pay office staff because they do not answer the phone. Previous reviewer stated you'll wait for 15 minutes. NOPE. You're going to wait 30 - 45 minutes at a minimum before someone picks up. I am done with them.

Phone line plays busy sound a lot and typical hold time is 15 minutes.

Great Dr

Though Dr. Hilaly is no longer practicing in Illinois (mid-2010), I have followed her practice to St. Louis, MO. I found her care to be exceptional. She listens and is very understanding of my needs as a patient.
