Dr Salman Zafar, MD

Dr. Zafar is a doctor that truly goes the extra mile and cares about his patient’s health. I have first hand seen this man safe someone’s life by putting in the extra effort: researching data back to his college days, reaching out to medical experts for a second opinion, admitting that sometime’s a patient’s health is best served by a doctor other than himself, etc. The sad truth is that it is not Dr. Zafar himself that makes for a bad patient experience, it is his support staff. The sloppy careless clerical errors of support staff, including his nurse and medical assistant, are routine. It should not be so difficult to get a patient’s name, address, and RXs entered correctly into their file/computer system—especially when Rxs are entered directly from a prescription bottle, your insurance cards shows name (typed). I have literally tried to have such matters corrected at his office FOR YEARS, without success. Very frustrating, and waste of time, for both patients and… Pd Dr. Zafar to have to continually address clerical errors. Scary when it’s involves the LPN/RN/APRN and/or medical assistant. Dr Zafar does not even ask if you have any problems. He goes straight to the computer and says, ok you have your blood work done. He has always been my primary care physician. But things are very different than they were 20 years ago. He does not look at the patient, it's more about the clock. So sad a lot of Dr. are more like that!

Showed up for a physical after not seeing this doctor for years. He gives me a diagnosis and when I ask for his advice, he says, "I don't know, talk to Sam.(His medical assistant.)" He did not show me any numbers or explain anything to help me understand, he just essentially pushes me out. No one was in the waiting room. I spent more time waiting for him to finish up some side conversation with Sam and staff than I did actually getting any type of relevant information. He is completely rude and I am considering a negligence report to the state board. Do not recommend. Obviously I am in the process of getting a new doctor.

I am very happy with Dr Zafar; he listens to any problems and does any appropriate texting or whatever is needed. also love is med secretary nina, she runs his practice very well.

He is a kind, caring doctor with an excellent bedside manner! His staff could use some improvement, but HE is fantastic! I know for a fact that he cares very much for his patients!

Did not listen about severe knee pain and swelling.Tried to tell him about hole in bone from injury years ago,ignored me never took pants off to look at knee prescribe mobic and told me he wanted xrays of knee. When he left he told me to see his nurse which i did, she said he did not order xrays, Zafar heard me telling her he did, and yells down the hall order xray of his lert knee. I think this is very poor care for a Dr.

I'm surprised to hear some of the negative feedback Dr. Zafar has rec'd. When I've seen him, he's always been very caring, cheerful, and thorough.

He seems to be competent. His office is a disorganized mess. He can't find test results and often hasn't reviewed them before appointment. Has the all-time rudest person who schedules appointments.

I was transferred to Dr Zafar after my GP left the office. I saw him for several years. Don't waste your time. The office is completely disorganized and Dr Zafar absolutely gives the impression that he does not care about his patients whatsoever. I would not recommend him to anyone.
