Dr. Salomon Galimidi, MD

I apologize in advance for the length of this post but please read. I took my child in for his 3 year check up and when asked if I was placing him in school (My district has a 3 year old public school program- which is not mandatory, I should mention) I simply responded that I was not, that he would be starting school when he turns 4. The doctor then proceeded to tell me that I had to put him into school to continue his speech therapy (my son has a speech delay) or else he would fall behind. I respectfully told him that I understood what he was saying, but not only is speech therapy an option for him at home and even when he enters school at age 4, but that we’ve already made the decision to keep him home for the extra year. He continued to pressure me to change my mind and when I finally grew tired and firmly told him my decision was final, he proceeded to insult me and accuse me of neglecting my child. He said that if a case were ever to be made against me, he would tell whoever… need be that I am definitely negligent. Not only that, but he told me that my child will for sure have developmental issues and will always be behind because of this decision. We left immediately after these comments were made. I’ve felt discriminated against by this doctor several times before because I am a young mother and never felt that I was taken seriously by him, but he crossed the line with the statements and accusations he made against me. I will never be returning to this office and will be filing a complaint against the doctor.

I have had the most horrible experience with this pediatrician. There staff is not friendly and never want to help you. The wait time is ridiculous when the doctor see you child for 5 min.

There are so many nice things to say about Dr. Galimidi, but I'm just going to keep it short and sweet. He is the third doctor that I have had for my kids and I'm not changing doctors again. I finally found a great doctor! He is so nice and he has a lot of patience. The medical assistants are also nice. I'm not going to lie though. The wait is beyond terrible! It's worth it though because it's not easy finding a doctor like him. I wish I had the energy to type some more but I'm exhausted.
