Dr. Salvador Ceniceros, MD

He was my best psychiatric doctor. Was under his care for almost a decade. Due to my own problems and frustrations at problems I created I don't see him anymore. Though I still refer and turn people towards Jordan Valley here in Springfield where hes currently practicing.

doesn’t take time to get to know patient before throwing them on a bunch of medication, rather than trying to properly diagnose condition.

Dr. C is a lifesaver, and a life changer for the better. And highly intelligent a cornerstone of his profession I would even go so far to say to rival that of Freud. If it wasn't for him I'd be dead or worse. No over exaggeration or butt kissing Dr. C blows all other psychiatrist out of the water! No Lie.

If you are in need of a psychiatrist or a doctor to help with pain management or substance abuse problems I highly recommend Dr C. He's caring helpful friendly non-judgmental and all around good guy I highly recommend this Doctor Who anybody who needs more than just a primary care physician him and his team of three nurse practitioners are absolutely amazing at their jobs I dread the day when they retire hopefully I will never see that day

A terrible, terrible, terrible doctor, Mr. Ceniceros is. Undeserving of his title, frankly. I've noticed him "advocating" throughout Springfield and it almost makes my skin crawl after having experienced his practice in reality. I saw him once. Was on the run from an abusive marriage and basically suicidal after having been fed opiods for years and trying to break away from them. That's how my husband kept me. Feeding me pills. Then when I scheduled with Mr. C, I came to my appointment after being kicked out on the streets with my two toddler twins and I came straight to his office and explaining the situation because I had no other safe place to go. He was terribly cold and heartless, staring at my children as if they didnt belong in his presence, although I did make a second appointment out of desperation. When my second came around, I had made it to IL. to stay with my mom and had been traveling all night to make my 10 AM appointment but my car broke down about two hours out. I… immediately called them first. His office manager got on the phone with me and I explained the situation. She had me in hysterical tears, she was so mean. I told her that I had no other options. That's when she brought up and old message I sent to the doctor asking him if he could possibly make time for me. It wasn't innapropriate whatsoever but she acted as if I was actively stalking the doctor. It was one single, completely professional message....but in her words,"how dare you, who do you think you are reaching out to him!" When I got off the phone after begging to be seen and being told I was officially dropped as a patient, I had to speak with a psychiatrist on call who had to talk me down from the panic attack I was having on the side of the highway in my car. He put me in touch with doctor Cohn, who I've been seeing for over a year now and am continuously praised as his most successful patient. I couldn't be more grateful for the chance he gave me. I'm now free from my abusive relationship and have sense started a business and am completely opiod free. No thanks to this so-called "doctor". He exploits people in pain. People who are genuinely struggling, he sees the dollars and nothing more.

I think I answered maybe 3 questions before being prescribed a strong antipsychotic. No one is that good. He may think he is intuitive, but I call it pure arrogance and negligence. I am going to skip the followup visit and find another doctor.

Very serious about his work. Follow up is excellent. I was taken to see Dr. Ceniceros in catatonic condition. He 'manipulated' me in believing I would get better and would have a normal life, while my thoughts told me otherwise. He tried may medications to find the right ones. My life is normal now. Thank you Dr. Ceniceros.

I noticed many issues w/ Dr. Ceniceros he thinks he is clever-minded, he is not. Prescribes prescription medicine like it is candy. Noticed also he is deceiving & very manipulative towards his patients. Also he did not know what the meaning of a word is, the word was anti-social. His knowledge of the meaning was that you can't have anti-social unless you have a criminal history. That is completely false. I would not recommend this physician to anybody.

The staff is extremely rude and unreliable. The dr was very friendly but diagnosed me and put me on a major medicine after asking me only a few questions that I think most people would give the same answer to.
