My husband has had a horrible experience w dr. Delprete. After my husbands first chemo he neglected to order the Neulasta- my husband is 67 years old- and ended up back in the hospital w a severe infection and an almost non existent white blood cell count- he almost died. The Dr’s bedside manner is horrendous, doesn’t tell you what to expect after chemo- what’s normal what’s not, and he doesn’t call back w test results. He blames his staff for not calling. Totally disgusted and thinking about next steps. First thing- getting new oncologist that cares and knows what he’s doing

Smart, informed and most of all extremely caring. His entire staff is friendly comforting and attentive

Terrible bedside manner. Arrogant.

When I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer, I did not anticipate a long survival time. That was 16 years ago! Here's why I would send anyone to Dr. Delprete: (1) He was extremely patient with any question I asked based on my online research - no matter how basic or "out there." (2)Dr Delprete is the research person in the practice. He is well regarded among his colleagues, which means that his patients are accepted into clinical trials. I believe that is why I have survived. (3)He always spends as much time as necessary, and promptly returns my calls when I ask his opinion about other health issues (4)All of the doctors in the practice seem to know everything about each other's patients. When he has been unavailable, any doctor I saw seemed right up to speed on my case. (5)Dr. Delprete is constantly attending conferences and doing whatever else he does to stay current with his field and his colleagues. (6)He has always been caring, honest, and forthright with me.
