Dr. Salvatore Vincent Raccuia, MD

I came to Dr. Raccuia for a Mammogram and Breast Biopsy. I cannot express enough how wonderful Dr. Raccuia and his staff were and how they treated me. I was very worried, concerned about the entire process and overall a nervous wreck. Their compassion and tender care meant the world to me. Dr. Raccuia took the time out of his schedule to make sure that I understood each and every step, explaining each detail, offering recommendations and made sure I was at ease with the process. The entire office was just simply wonderful to me. Dr. Raccuia followed up himself with my results, made sure I knew exactly what was to follow and made sure that all my questions were answered. You could not ask for a better doctor. I give him my highest recommendation. I am incredibly grateful that he was my doctor.

If there were more than 5 stars Dr Raccuia would receive it. The treatment and compassion you receive is what every women would want. He is professional and knowledgeable. I would would trust him beyond words. I would also like to add his team is outstanding: Paul Rugar, the mammogram technician is kind, compassionate and understanding. Angela who is the ultrasound technician is also kind, compassionate and understanding.

Dr. Raccuia was not satisfied with my initial lab report and as a result of his perseverance and expertise, I received an accurate diagnosis. When surgeons did not return my calls as I tried to schedule an appointment, Dr. Raccuia was able to secure an appointment with an excellent surgeon. He is a thorough and thoughtful professional who made a successful outcome possible for me.

Can’t say enough about Dr. Raccuia!! He was knowledgeable, kind-hearted and professional. His staff, Paula West and Angela, were also outstanding!! Dr. Raccuia and his staff are valuable assets to your hospital. Thank you for providing immediate results on my breast exams and taking the time and care that patients need!!

I recently had a mammogram and ultrasound with Dr. Raccuia, and he was a kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and a supportive person. I had not had a mammogram in several years as I had fears of the possible results. I reluctantly went for one at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital after my gynecologist assured me I would be happy with Dr. Raccuia. She was 100% correct. Dr. Raccuia came in himself before the study to introduce himself and assure me. He stated that a few minutes of discomfort was worth knowing I was okay. He was right. He again came in after the study to give me immediate results. There is definitely a difference in seeing a specialist is trained and so knowledgeable in his field. I was very happy with my experience and will be returning to see Dr. Raccuia next year.

Dr. Raccuia is the reason I go to Mid Hudson Regional Center. He treats each patient with respect and is very knowledgable.

How wonderful to be cared for by a physician who has a complete and total focus on excellence in practice. He is compassionate, outwardly supportive, and clearly committed to making his patients as comfortable as possible during potentially high stress producing studies and invasive breast procedures. His clinical knowledge and interventional skills are outstanding.

Last year I was so impressed by my first visit with Dr. Raccuia that I wrote a note to myself to MAKE SURE I ask for him by name when I made the appointment for my annual mammo and ultrasound the next year. I recently went in for my annual appointment and again was impressed by Dr. Raccuia. What I specifically like is that he is careful in his review of the images and that he comes into the exam room to give the report in person. He could easily tell the tech person to do this, but he wants to be sure patients have all the info and have a chance to ask questions. He even did this when my results we negative on a regular screening. His personal touch approach to medicine is refreshing and appreciated!
