Dr. Bhayani is fantastic! I decided on Dr. Bhayani after "shopping around" for a urologist to do my partial nephrectomy for kidney cancer. He was the clear choice because his reputation for surgical skill preceeded him. And he did not disappoint. He took on my case, which was tricky to say the least and complicated by other health factors. He consulted with my other doctors, listened to my and my husband's wishes, and advocated to ensure my surgery was done in the safest way possible. On top of that, the cosmetic outcome is much better than I expected, and thanks to him, my kidney cancer was removed! I appreciate how attentive and careful Dr. Bhayani was every step of the way. He and his Assistant Lisa (who is simply THE BEST, by the way), make an amazing team, and I'm so glad they were both there to help me through this process.

Excellent. Dr. Bhayani was consulted preoperatively for prostate cancer. When I first met him he was very professional and personally engaging. He listened intently to my concerns and my family concerns. He was knowledgeable of my condition upon entering the exam room because he said he reviewed my test results that had been performed. He was direct and outlined a course of action that he recommended for my grade of cancer. He freely answered questions about his experience and the number of procedures he had performed. After consultation with my family, I decided to proceed with surgery and am presently 9 days post op and improving every day. I had appropriate expectations going into the surgery and he came to see me everyday during the hospitalization and was kind enough to call me at home as soon as the pathology report came in. His hospital and office staff have also been very professional and were very accessible. I would highly recommend Dr. Bhayani for consult and treatment of… prostate cancer.

No need to look any further for a urological surgeon. You have the complete package in Dr. Sam Bhayani. What I especially like about him is that he's no-nonsense and shoots straight from the hip. And, as busy as he is, he takes time to answer every single question to my satisfaction. I had a left nephrectomy for kidney cancer 5 years ago. From the very first consult Dr Bhayani was always upfront on every question my wife and I asked him. I enjoyed his straight-forward approach and his various explanations on why a nephrectomy was needed in my case. Post-op, his staff, especially his assistant Lisa Vollmeyer, was there to forward any questions to the doctor and responded within a day of my inquiry. If you want a team that cares about a successful outcome to your kidney issue, please give Dr Bhayani your strongest consideration. If I could give him SIX stars, I would!

I came from out of state to see Dr. Bhayani for a second opinion. As soon as I met him, he put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. It was not difficult to decide that I wanted him to treat me. He has excellent training, skill and experience. Although it was obvious he is highly intelligent, he communicated clearly in a manner that was down to earth and easy to understand. He reviewed the findings of the testing and discussed options with me. I chose surgery and it went well without complication at the Barnes Jewish West County Hospital. He has a great doctor patient manner. He was warm, friendly and caring. He also was very friendly to my family. He came to see me in the hospital and monitored my progress. Dr. Bhayani is an excellent physician and surgeon.

He was the one doctor who figured out that I didn't need major surgery to treat my prostate. I am thrilled with the decision.

Dr. Bhayani is such an amazing doctor and surgeon. He is one of the most kind and caring doctors we have ever seen. He is very genuine, optimistic and truly cares about his patients. He speaks the truth and does not mess around. When my dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer it was a very hard time for my family and I but having Dr. Bhayani to walk us through step by step and talk to us about what was going to take place we knew we were in the best hands possible. After meeting with Dr. Bhayani the first time we knew that dad was going to be okay. He is very intelligent individual. Throughout the process what stood out most was how much we really cared about not only my dad but my mom, my sister, and I and how he remember so much about what we would talk about from our day to day lives. Even though he is so busy from day to day he made sure we were doing okay. He referred to my dad as "his boy" since he met him. Dr. Bhayani saved my life! From the very first consultation, he explained the findings shown in the scan. He provided options. He was able to relay statistics about patients treated with my condition and their outcomes. From the decision to have surgery, his staff and the entire Barnes experience was overwhelmingly positive. Very impressive treatment, communication - including the Patient Portal, and follow-through. Now, after four years of post-checks, I am cancer-free and healthy....living a normal life. Remarkable! After the shock of my husband's diagnosis of prostate cancer, we decided to get an opinion from Dr Sam at the Barnes West Location. He was thorough, and offered a very real point of view on the situation. First, we were being pushed into radiation and surgery from our first doctor. Dr Sam told us of other options. We were impressed. After seeing him, we felt so much more comfortable about the diagnosis. He talked about things in such a reasonable way. He was concerned but thought it was going to be ok. I felt a little nervous, but more relieved after seeing him. My husband isn't the type that likes doctors or examinations. I am happy with the experience of seeing Dr Sam. We eventually decided on the prostate removal surgery and it went without a hitch. When we were in the hospital, 3 different nurses told us that they would see him for the same problem. He made us feel special. Thanks Dr Sam for taking my husbands case. The hospital stay was also beautiful, with… private rooms and caring nurses. They also let me stay with him and pulled out a bed and blankets for me.

I was diagnosed with kidney cancer & was very fortunate to be sent to Dr. Bhyani by my Oncologist. Dr. Bhyani removed the cancer by performing a partial nephrectomy and has provided excellent care since I've met him.
