Dr. Saman Naficy, MD

After consulting with multiple medical professionals, I made a final attempt to address serious postoperative concerns directly with Dr. Naficy. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I brought a witness to this appointment. I have unresolved concerns regarding the lack of documentation supporting that a true deep-plane face and neck lift was performed, as well as a permanent postoperative deformity, including a pronounced cobra neck. When I asked Dr. Naficy to explain the technique or discuss corrective options, his response—given on record in front of two witnesses—was to “pull the skin until it sags along with the other pieces of skin.” This raised significant concerns regarding surgical technique and decision-making. I also experienced poor continuity of care and inadequate medical record awareness. Dr. Naficy repeatedly forgot critical clinical details, including multiple postoperative infections, medications he prescribed, and relevant preoperative… disclosures such as my endurance training and marathon preparation, which directly impacts fat volume planning and long-term outcomes. Additionally, I was presented with consent documents approximately 10 minutes before surgery while already under the influence of a sedative. This does not meet accepted standards for informed consent. Dr. Naficy’s fees are substantially higher than similarly credentialed surgeons, yet the outcome and level of care did not reflect the pricing. I also have concerns regarding the use of before-and-after imagery that appears to soften or enhance results through photographic techniques, as well as marketing that may lead patients to believe he is a plastic surgeon. His specialty training is in head and neck surgery. Due to the seriousness of these issues, formal complaints are underway, and authorities are now involved. Since sharing my experience, several patients have reached out privately with similar concerns. No remediation was offered for my deformity, leaving me no option but to pursue further action. This review is shared for patient awareness, transparency, and safety.

I had surgery with Dr. Naficy and he butchered my nose. It is not clear if or how it will be able to be fixed at this point. It is so unfortunate to be in this position after paying several thousands.

I wish I could give him a zero. Awful surgeon who only cares about money and nothing else.

Over the years I received services from several nurses-injectors in Sam Naficy’s practice and I was mostly (but not always) satisfied. The reason I finally made the decision to no longer use this practice is Mr.Naficy's comments on Yelp each and every time a patient leaves a review which is not flattering. I find his comments disrespectful, admonishing and combating. I once encountered him in the elevator on my way to my appointment with one of his nurses-injectors. While we were “assenting” to the floor where his practice is located, this doctor didn’t even bother to answer my greetings, yet he feels he has the right to constantly lecture dissatisfied clients (on Yelp) on a subject of respecting others. What a joke.

I regret choosing Dr Sam. It’s been 3 years after surgery and the scar is still visible and nothing can fix what he did to my face

He caused a major nose deformity that left me scared for life. He didn’t even want to fix his mistakes and asked for more money to get it redone.

This doctor should not be performing rhinoplasty. He is not good. He likes to cut the bottoms of noses off and make your nose twice as wide. Go to him if you want a short, fat, upturned nose.

I saw Dr. Naficy for revision rhino consult . I have very scooped bridge from my previous rhinoplasty. Dr. Naficy told that to rebuild my bridge nose he needed rib cartilage which is that last resort for rebuilding the nose. Because using rib cartilage is so risky. Other doctors in my said that ear cartliage is just fine. Please don't waste your and money.
