Dr. Sam Prescott

Samantha (Sam) Prescott is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has 7 years of experience in the mental health field, including in-home family work, crisis intervention, and clinical outpatient with diverse populations. Throughout Sam’s clinical experience she has addressed depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and substance misuse with individuals, couples, and families. Sam completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Arizona State University and her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Sam emphasizes the importance of collaboration within counseling and welcomes an atmosphere of fluid feedback to help make the most of your therapy experience. She will help you see the resiliency within yourself. Sam will provide a tailored experience to help address goals to help facilitate an improved quality of life, utilizing solution-focused therapy to change internal narratives from problem-focused to …strength-building. Sam believes that each individual, couple, or family holds the ability to build the necessary skills to become their own therapist. She hopes to provide these skills through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
