Dr. Sam Hsijung Shen, MD

My husband is a 60 year old with a history of cardiac issues. We visited the walk-in clinic for my husband's symptoms (nausea, dizziness, unrelenting cough etc). Unfortunately, Dr. Shen was the doctor we got when we arrived. He barely introduced himself to my husband and ignored me completely as if I was invisible.. He had already made up his mind that my husband had the flu; he didn't even do the flu test which past doctors have done to confirm the diagnosis. We could tell he just wanted us out of the exam room within 2-3 minutes of talking to us. He didn't even want to consider my husband's previous medical history at all. I can't believe Stanford Healthcare Alliance hires such un-empathetic doctors with terrible bedside manners. With the amount of money we get charged for each urgent care visit, it was a complete waste of time and money. Avoid him!

I saw this person in the ER at Stanford "Fast Track" even though I told them I have a rare immunodeficiency disease. I was not taken seriously, no one looked at the labs I brought with me, and no one gave me any treatment. Zero. Now I am home, and I am vomiting. Nice work.
