Samantha A Cortese, RDN

Samantha Cortese is a dietitian specializing in diabetes education. Her interests include diabetes and weight management. “I love taking care of participants interested in improving health through diet and lifestyle,” she says. “It's amazing to see people with diabetes apply diabetes self-management education principles at their own pace to reduce risks of diabetes related complications.”Ms. Cortese earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in nutritional sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. Her interest in pursuing a career in clinical nutrition began when she was young. “As a teenager, I had friends that went to registered dietitian nutritionists,” she says. “I immediately found interest in serving in this role when I researched more about how an RDN can make a tremendous impact in people's lives.”When she’s outside the office, Ms. Cortese enjoys spending time with her young children, husband and dog; …working in her vegetable garden; and cooking healthy treats for family and friends. She loves to make people laugh.
