Dr. Samara Bret Shipon, DO

Dr SHipon is the best of the best and I’ve been to so many doctors for chronic pain. She takes the time and is so intelligent and caring. If you want excellence and someone to review all of your records continually in depth in order to provide the best care and recommend the best treatment options always then you will want to see her regularly. I trust her and she really puts in 110% effort every time. She is not judgmental and she truly is passionate about her job. She is up on all the newest stuff too.

Dr. Shipon is the best pain Doctor I have ever had, She is professional, thorough, and pleasant. She listens. She doesn't give up but always seems to have another idea and one more thing to try which is so encouraging. She has kept me moving far past when other Doctors stopped trying and I am so grateful to her.

I met with Dr. Shipon once and she was spot on, targeted a plan and seems to be a caring doctor. Her staff however created a huge issue in which later resulted in my being discharged from Dr. Shipon's care. The plan was for me to receive some spinal medial branch blocks as a DIAGNOSTIC test to further my care. (I have 20+ years experience with my back issue, I have had three spinal surgeries, so I am well educated to my care and nest steps required) That alone, ticked off an RN there, she 'needed' to feel important and needed to know more than me! It is MY SPINE, so I CARE! Here is what happened next: I came in for these injections. They admitted me and put me in a room with 4 other patients at the same time. Close proximity to say the least. (They had to scoot another womans purse out of the way, to allow room for me to sit, is how close) When the RN started reading my procedure to me, it was not the same procedure that Dr. Shipon told me about. Of course I am going to say something!… So, I did. When I questioned the procedure, the nurse started in an argumentative manner telling me why I was there. Because of HIPAA laws, I thought it was odd to begin with, to have to talk about personal health issues in front of 4 other people. - The communication went down hill from there. I went through with the injections, but later received a telephone call from Dr. Shipon who dismissed my care and ferred it because of the 'uncomfortable' way that everyone felt in that room. When I questioned why would I be discharged, especially when everything was so sideways from the beginning with so many strangers in the room with me, it was not even a discussion. She treated me as if I had committed some crime. Let me tell you people, take care of yourselves. Take care of your health care and DEFEND your rights to privacy. No one, no one other than my and may family has a right to chime in on my own health care. And that is what this establishment allowed, there was a drunk woman in the corner telling me 'Why don't you just allow her to inject you it may help you" yea, privacy? What privacy, DO NOT GO TO THIS DR.

She is the worst pain doctor rude uncaring! I have four very painful disabilities an in disability for this. She would give me my medication! You will waste your time with this office!

The entire staff at Valley Pain Consultants Chandler location does not care about you and your pain - all they care about is receiving your money and charging unreasonably high fees for required monthly drug testing. Depending on your insurance you can expect a monthly bill after insurance coverage of over $300. You will not be able to build a relationship with a medical provider because they do not honor who you have scheduled your appointment with. You will be switched to another provider when you arrive. Avoid this facility.
