Dr. Samayra Tavakoli

Sammy Tavakoli is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adults, couples, and families address their unique challenges to live more fulfilled lives. Sammy specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, addiction, abuse, postpartum/pregnancy, and major life transitions. Sammy utilizes a variety of modalities to assist the client's with meeting their unique goals and needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, positive psychology, trauma-focused therapy, and Gestalt therapy. Sammy completed her Master of Science in Community Counseling degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Shortly after graduation Sammy started her career working with the severely mentally ill population (SMI) in Phoenix Arizona, she found her passion for the underserved mental health population in community mental health.
