Dr. Sameera Tahir Khan, MD

I've been through it all. I was a breast cancer survivor for 15 years, I'm originally from out of state but came back to Michigan because of family. I had no doctor here. My family doc suggested Dr. Khan, and I had no idea how wonderful she would end up being. She changed my whole experience with cancer, the disease is a nasty one but she is my silver lining.

When she was out of town a different doctor covering for her took care of me, it was not the same. Dr. Kahn is the best. I left my physician at Beaumont to see her for a second opinion when he would rush in and out the door in 5 minutes after I'd wait an hour and a half just to see him. I have been her patient since, thank you Dr. Kahn!

Dr. K has the kindest spirit! I am so blessed to have found her!! She takes care of me better than any doctor I have ever had and always takes her time with me. God bless you Dr. Khan!!!!

Have been to three different oncologists now, third time is obviously the charm. I had no idea how much better my quality of life could be and was honestly beginning to lose all hope until I switched to Dr. Kahn, her MA was very sweet too.

I could write a lot but the bottom line is that she cares and what she does to make my life better even on the rough days makes that clear. I'm a true fan of Dr. Khan!

I was a patient at a different hospital before this and was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. I am a mom of two young kids and was feeling continuously sick from my chemo and neglected by my doc until a friend mentioned Dr. Khan. Coming to her changed my life. She listened to what I had to say and has made changes to my treatment plan that have actually helped my cancer go away and also helped me feel better. I have the energy to play with my kids again and I feel less sad. I like that she doesn't make me feel stupid for asking questions like my last doc did and she always lays everything out plain and simple. I know what to expect and feel like I've got a friend in my doc.

My favorite doc!! Any time I call her answering service with questions (mind you, I've called her on Saturday nights) she gets back to me right quick with an answer and is always extremely nice about it. Also really convenient for me because chemo is just downstairs from her office.

Dr. Khan is truly amazing. She used to work in Port Huron, and when she left I followed her to Clinton Township, and it's the best decision I've ever made. I was told by a DMC physician that my cancer would be the death of me and that there was nothing that could be done, and under the care of Dr. Khan I've been alive now for 8 years. Not only is she extremely intelligent with medicine, but she's also a lovely human being. When I was sick in the hospital, she came in over her weekend off to talk to my family and discuss our option for over an hour. She never makes me feel like my questions are stupid, always spends proper time with me, and is considerate of my pain, cancer, and overall physical and mental well-being. Her staff are really nice too- the MA Dawn is a sweetheart and the cancer center's social worker Mary is always supportive and understanding. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience.
