Dr. Sami Antoine Issa, MD

Dr. Issa refuses to work with getting new female patients in. The staff assistant had told me to arrive 30 minutes earlier to my appointment less than 24 hours before. When I explained it wasn’t possible on such short notice, she very rudely said “that’s not our problem.” When I showed up to my appointment they told me they didn’t take my insurance, even though he is listed as a provider that takes my insurance which was confirmed at the time I made the appointment. I had taken time off of work for this appointment, and was turned away. When I called later to speak with the office manager she greeted me by saying “what’s your problem” and the conversation ended with her telling me Dr. Issa’s office is refusing to see me. Unfortunately for Dr. Issa, his staff is making it very clear he is not accepting new patients even though his status on every health insurance plan says he is accepting new patients.

First off, I never got to see Dr. Issa due to his office staff. I was trying to switch my primary care physician to Dr. Issa due to the long wait times I had experienced from my other Doctors office. I have heard such great things about Dr. Issa; however, his office staff refuses to work with getting new female patients in. I’m not sure if this is a direct order from Dr. Issa himself to have his staff make female patients feel unwelcome or if it was an order from the office manager. I've known Dr. Issa for many years and he is the primary care physician for both my husband and myself. Dr. Issa does truly care about his patients and he takes that role of a physician very seriously. He is personable and easy to talk to, a great listener, very thorough and punctual (which I so appreciate), and he wants to help his patients to live healthy and happy lives. I recommend him to anyone I meet who is looking for a wonderful physician. He absolutely deserves this 5 star rating!

Although soft spoken, Dr. Issa knows what the best care is for his patient and allows the patient to partner with him on health decisions.

Dr. Issa has been my wife's and my primary care provider for over twenty years. He has always been very thorough and caring with our medical needs and requirements. Dr. Issa always listens and makes sure to make referrals to other doctors based on their expertise, who can provide additional care required for each of us. He has always been very kind and caring and he shows genuine concern for his patients and their care. Dr. Issa's staff has been friendly and his office has always tried to honor our appointment times. Dr. Issa takes his appointment time seriously, but at the same time he doesn't rush you in or out. I enjoy speaking with Dr. Issa concerning my medical needs because he is easy to talk with and he always acts like he is glad to see you. Dr. Issa is a very kind, capable, considerate, and friendly doctor because it's very obvious he cares about his patients.
