Dr. Sami Mohammad Shoukair, MD

My experience with this doctor on my visit wasn't a pleasant. Two days prior to my appointment, I was invited to y barbecue I ate something that I shouldn't have ate. I usually eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. On the day of my visit, I had a spike in blood pressure and I only gained 3 pounds. He chewed me out so bad and told me that my eating habits are bad. I told him about my sodium intake, he made me feel stupid and irresponsible, he didn't want to hear anything I had say. I went in for the results of my EKG. My EKG was normal. I didn't like how he talked to me. He was so cold and very nasty. I was in my car in tears. Of all the bad reviews I have read, I was a fool to take this guy serious. I am currently under a nutritionist because I know I eat healthy. I cancelled my next appointment with this guy and won't be coming back. I am looking for another cardiologist. No one deserves to be treated that way.

All the reviews are true. Arrogant, dismissive. Sneered at us before we even began talking and refused to listen to our concerns. No attempt to take a health history. Acted like we were wasting his time. Thank goodness we were there for preventative reasons and not something immediately life threatening. After the visit, I felt like taking my heart rate with my phone would have given me more information and been more compassionate.

He is rude and treats his patients like there cares and concerns do not matter. I never met someone who seems like he hated his job more. He should not be seeing patients with his attitude and lack of beside manner.

Long wait for 3 minutes of his time. Terrible bed side manner. PCP wanted a follow up with cardiologist but didnt seem interested to ask questions until I noticeably got a bit miffed. Then, and only then, did the doc ask more questions. Very sad to wait so long and get no results.

My dad was admitted at La Palma hospital and this guy happened to be his in charge Dr. He never committed with patient, his family members or his hospital staff. He was giving WRONG medication to my Dad without reviewing his prior medication list. He ordered lots of tests (blood, CT, xray etc) but did not cure a singel thing. He was so rude that to hide his unablity to cure my dad, he indirectly suggested to let my dad die.

Poor manners, poor behavior and poor medical knowledge. Does not care about the patient . Run away

This physician was more than annoyed that I asked about side effects of a medication he was going to administer to his patient and when I asked him to review the case with me so that I could be informed and translate to his patient. I wanted the patient to make an informed decision about medical care, but he was not in the least interested in having an informed patient. He stormed out of the room and said he was cancelling the procedure. Is that a teaching in medical schools in Lebanon?

THIS IS ONE OF THE RUDEST DOCTORS I HAVE BEEN TOO- EVER! HE WAS COLD AND NOT COMPASSIONATE AT ALL! RUDE PERSON-DOES NOT CARE! I AM SHOCKED AT SOME OF THE GOOD REVIEWS-REALLY SHOCKED! I WOULD NOT SEND MY DOG TO HIM! THE ANAHEIM OFFICE IS A COMPLETE DUMP WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING EVEN- GREAT IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE BREATHING! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE-YOU DESERVE BETTER- IT IS YOUR HEART!

As a family caregiver of a patient, I have taken her to Dr. Sami Shoukair on several occasions in the past, though I was never happy with Dr. Shoukair's disgusting arrogance and lack of compassion in dealing with the patient. Blessedly, a short while ago, somebody highly recommended to me another cardiologist; so I recently took the patient to him. I am so happy to find that the other cardiologist is indeed extremely caring and compassionate, and gives ample time to examine a patient very carefully. On both accounts, the new cardiologist is diametrically opposite to Dr. Shoukair. The new doctor also impressed me as highly competent in his field. I strongly suggest to those seeking a cardiologist to go to that they should avoid going to Dr. Shoukair. He has no business being in the medical profession.
