Dr. Samir Aqel Elian, MD

I was in the hospital and he was subbing for my doctor. In our conversation, it was very clear that this man had not read my chart AT ALL! He made some incorrect decisions and others seemed to quietly go behind him and corrected his decisions.

100% blockage in what they call "the widow maker" and a blood clot. Massive heart attack, should not have made it. Dr. Elian saved my life. He is vigilant on my testing, carotids, stress test, echos, heart catheterizations, defibrillator implant. Dr. Elian is never in a rush when he sees me, answers all questions till I understand. He has now been my Cardiologist for 5 years. Impressed with the staff as well, I get in and out whenever I am there for a certain test.

This doctor has no bedside manner and barely spoke to me. I had to ask his staff what he wanted. Then I got a second opinion and found out that I never had CHF.

Overbooked, understaffed, seems to be more interested in in house testing than patient's needs.

This doctor deserves a 5 star rating.Trust this doctor.No reason to rate 1 or 2 stars.Unparalleled bedside manner.Very caring.Outstanding care.

After several tests came back, my primary was afraid of the risks in which I was under and felt I should move my appt. With dr.elian (which was 2weeks away) to the very next day.. when I went to elian's office I sat for a minimum of 2 hours (as usual) and when the dr.looked at my chart he said "eh ur fine..and I'm going to take u off all b.p. meds also."..now my b.p. runs at or around 180/ 120 and have been diagnosed with tachycardia, dysrythmia, and palpatations..I can't believe a CARDIOLOGIST cound miss this after a heart echo,stress test,and nuclear stress test..DISAPOINTING

I've been to his office a total of three times. The first time they did a bunch of tests. Before even looking at any of the results he said everything was good, I know this because he was walking out the front door and the nurse ran out to grab him to come look at the results. Then it went from everything is good to needing to come back in a week. With that follow up visit he again said everything was good and he wanted to see me again in a year. When I went back the next year he mentioned that things were not good. He does not spend time with you explaining things to you and when he finally does get to see after waiting forever he is brief and rushes out of the room before you have a chance to ask questions.
