Dr. Samir Kumar Gupta, MD

Dr. Samir Gupta, originally from Michigan, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. He received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Gupta completed his surgical residency and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Michigan State University, Butterworth Hospital and Spectrum Health Downtown Campus, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Gupta is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. Dr. Gupta and his wife live in Peoria with their three children. He joined the staff at PMH in December of 2006 as a member of Princeton Surgical Services.
