Dr. Samuel David Weller, MD

I see Dr.Weller at Madison Health Primary Care in West Jefferson, and am surprised by, and would like to counter some of the negative comments I have seen. I have always been able to get a quick appointment, been treated courteously by staff, had a short wait time and received outstanding care. I would feel extremely comfortable recommending my friends and family to his care

I was seen by Beverly and loved her. Don't like Dr Weller at all. Rude don't listen it's almost like he just don't care at all.

Dr. Weller is very patient and very thorough.

He treats nothing. Refers you to a specialist. I think he has hearing problems.

Do not see this fellow.

I have never been so rudely treated by a Dr. You cannot explain anything to this man. He does not listen. He needs to learn some bed side manners.

My husband and I both had our initial appointments with Dr. Weller. We switched Family Practice Doctors due to changes in our health care insurance. Dr, Weller and his staff could not have made our transition any easier! Everyone was extremely helpful and professional. We were receiving updates from our pharmacy that same day and a specialty office called the following day to set up my referral appointment. I have already recommended Dr. Weller to my friends.

The office staff can't give them to you. They refer you to a third party (offsite--WHO HAVE YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS)and you have to pay for them! Getting an appointment is almost non-existent. I ended up giving up and going to a different office/company. The office staff typically don't make eye contact or conversation. They seem miserable.

Seven years ago, the staff & Doctor was great! It was a comfortable place to go when I was sick, or hurt. As the years went by, the staff began talking to me rudely, and then the doctor began. Next, he would not allow me to fully explain my immediate ailment. He treats office visits as if "Monologue", not a "Dialogue". He puts his hand up to shut me up! This is very offensive & humiliating! I've reported this to my insurance company. I've spoken w/other patients who have said that they have received the same treatment. This is too bad.Dr.Weller used to be such a wonderful, personable, kind, & compassionate doctor. He used to give me hope, and I would leave his office feeling treated with respect & dignity. They have lost this.

runs up tests unnecessarily. is not clear and direct. won't tell that he won't do things until after you have paid for 2 appts with him even though you asked for such BEFORE you set the appt. asks the dumbest of dumb questions. like..even after he KNOWS again that all the relatives are gone (dead), he wants to know AGAIN if there is any new info. what is he suggesting we have a seance?
