No wonder he was the only doctor I could get with my crappy insurance.

Dr Etchie was my assigned psychiatrist when I was on a 72-hour psychiatric hold at Alvarado Parkway Institute. (1) He did not do a psychiatric intake assessment. (2) He threatened to put me on a 14-day hold when I asked to be released when the 72-hour hold was up so that I could go to Sharp Mesa Vista's Intensive Outpatient program for treatment. (3) He prescribed Ambien for sleep even though I am addict. (4) He denied my my bi-polar medication because he could not be bothered to recheck my medication amount and compliance from the Scripps Memorial E.R. My psychiatrist increased my dose tree days earlier because he believed my increasing symptoms was from being on too low a dose of the medication (5) Required strong external arm twisting so that I could get out and get actual treatment at Sharp Mesa Vista.

I sure like Dr. Etchie. He's kind, caring and knows his field. I recommend him.

Dr. Etchie is a very kind Doctor who has seen me at my worst through out the years. I battled a drug addiction plus severe bi polar. he never made me feel bad about myself but always had kind words to say to me especially at my attempts at sobriety. I am now sober over a year and haven't been hospitalized in a year also. I still suffer from bi polar symptoms and will be contacting him to have him treat me if possible.

Disgrace. This man should not be a doctor. He doesn't not care about the wellbeing of his patients.

I would highly recommend Dr Etchie. I have been a patient for 11 years. He is gentle and caring. He takes time in an appointment and I don't feel rushed. His waiting room is full of patients and wait times are longer than most Dr offices but that is not a problem for me due to excellent care. A+ doctor.
