Dr. Samuel Mendel Freedman, MD

The ineptitude and unprofessionalism of one particular staff member at his ofgice was mind boggling. Made an appointment for my son for a new patient visit months ago. Sent them the battery of forms that they requested, which included going back to pediatricians for growth charts from birth and to the radiology dept at the hospital. Went to my PCP for a referral and this particular rude and snarky woman would not cooperate with my PCP for the electronic referral. This was going on for a week before the appointment. She kept saying we don't take your insurance. I had it verified three times with my provider. They even told me the office called and they told them that my insurance is accepted by their practice. Ultimately, because I purchased my insurance on the health care exchange, they would not see my son. She left a message on my phone of that very nature. When you take the Hippocratic oath to provide care to everyone in need you don't marginalize communities and judge. This… is a money grabbing practice with poor ethics and a staff that needs sensitivity training.

Dr Freedman literally saved my daughters life. She was born with bilateral adrenal hemorrhage and was in NICU for weeks. None of the doctors could figure out what the problem was. Dr. Freedman came in one night, subbing for the regular doctor, and suggested they test her adrenal glands. And nobody else had thought to check that! He’s brilliant. His intuition paid off and saved Faith’s life- quite literally. I will be forever grateful for him. He was her endocrinologist the entire time we lived in Florida. He will get the first invitation to her wedding- I promise!

Dr. Freedman is the 3rd endocrinologist my 3 boys have seen and is by far the best. My kids have been under his care for the last several years and have thrived. He connects with my kids and his recommendations are clear and thorough. His office staff absolutely know what they are doing and follow up with me promptly 100% of the time. We drive an hour each way to see Dr. Freedman and would drive 2 if necessary.

I was so upset when I left this office. I visited this office with my child about 6+ months ago. In no way did I doubt Dr. Freedman's knowledge or experience but when I asked him questions as to why he is requiring so many blood tests for my child, he was very short with me and did not have the greatest bedside manner. I was also given misinformation by the front desk when I left.

Not sure why the negative reviews, but I was shocked to read them! All 3 of my children have been patients for many years and Dr. Freedman has been amazing in every regard. He has taken time to connect with all of us on a real and personal level, joking around and putting the kids at ease when they were younger. His expertise is unsurpassed in my opinion and my children were stabilized and thrived because of his skill and knowledge. I love his staff! Debbie is an incredible, friendly and nurturing nurse and the front office staff has always treated me in a courteous and super friendly manner. Overall, I cannot highly recommend this practice and Dr. Freedman! If my kids were still under 18 they would STILL be going to him!

Our son suffers from a chronic illness that causes poor absorption of nutrients and therefore resulting in very poor growth and development. From day one he assured us that he would do everything in his power to assist with our son's development and he met his promise. The road hasn't been easy, but he never gave up and also provided us with valuable insight and information we needed when battling our insurance company over the approval of a much needed medication for our son. He genuinely cares for his patients and their overall well-being. Our family will forever be grateful for him and the positive impact he has had on our son's life.

Doctor Freedman and his staff of professionals have been simply wonderful to interact with. As someone with over 20 years in and around the healthcare field, my expectations for high level of care, planing and support are of the highest standard and Dr. Freedman and company consistently hit the mark! The South Florida medical community is fortunate to have a specialist and staff with thier level of knowledge and support! I recommend Dr. Freedman 100%!

Took both of my kids to Dr. Freedman for growth hormone imbalances and they received excellent care while in his hands. Both of their treatments lasted several years and we couldn't have been happier with Dr. Freedman, his staff and our experience.

Treated my son and we were very happy with his professionalism and his bedside manner. I'd recommend him without a second thought.
