Dr. Samuel Theodore Goldberg, MD

Dr. Goldberg is tops! His nonjudgmental and caring style was a real find for me. He is reliable, accessible and wholly professional. He has never pretended to unearned expertise. Also, he shows the vanishingly rare ability to sometimes use humor to good therapeutic effect. Highest recommendation.

Dr. Goldberg is truly a great therapist. He embodies all of the characteristics that make up such a good therapist. He is patient, kind, non-judgmental, and listens to you. He genuinely cares about your overall well-being. It is hard to find a good practitioner like Dr. Goldberg. I feel very fortunate to be a patient to such a caring and an amazing therapist.

Dr. Goldberg was just the kind of therapist I needed when I started seeing him a few years ago. His traits: Nonjudgmental and respectful Points out strengths and the things I do right that I might not have recognized, which tends to raise my mood and increase my self-confidence. Pays attention to the emotional and psychological elements of what I say. Maintains eye contact in a natural and reassuring way. Has an open and nonthreatening physical stance and demeanor. Has a clear understanding of the points I try to get across. Comes up with good alternatives to approaching and clarifying specific problems. Doesn’t push his point of view or try to sway me one way or another but gives me tools to make my own decisions. Has a good sense of humor Is familiar with medicines and makes good use of them in dealing with my personal situation.

Anyone who says Dr Goldberg doesn’t give them direction don’t understand the role of a therapist. He helps you figure out your own direction!! Also, Dr Goldberg is the most knowledgeable and empathetic doctor I’ve ever met. I only wish I had discovered him sooner!

I had multiple suicide attempts and he didn't care. Doesn't seem to have much empathy. Other reviews were right,he gives no direction and doesn't care about diagnosing you.
