The best Doctor I have ever had.

Doctor Samuel Harrington presented himself to be a good doctor in conversation at the beginning as to what he planned to do to make me well. Unfortunately he was late many times in follow-up work with me before and during hospitalization and it caused me to have great physical difficulties later. While hospitalized he did not have good bedside manners to speak of and was cold and seemed not to care too much about what I was going through-especially the pain. He was rather abrasive as well. He rarely stayed more than 5 minutes with his very infrequent visits and he said very little that that was encouraging or helpful. I was quite fortunate to find a much better Gastroenterologist later. I do not rate him as a good doctor at all.

Dr. Harrington was my gastroenterologist for 17 years and provided outstanding care, both in office visits and in hospital procedures. He worked with me to help to afford procedures that were too expensive for me. He was extremely informative and patient and he took a real interest in my health beyond just my G.I. problems. He encouraged me to pursue a change in diet and lifestyle that greatly enhanced my cardiovascular health and overall health, although this did not really fall into the area of treatment. He talked to me about it because of a routine test result that he believed should be addressed. He's as well-informed, respectful and considerate a physician as I've ever encountered.

My first visit to discuss my occasional difficulty swallowing food was cordial and businesslike -- and not rushed. He and his staff briefed me well on what to expect from an endoscopy, which went just as described. Dr. Harrington is following up with a post-procedure visit to monitor, and advise on medication in consultation with my primary physician. Some patients may be put off by the billing policy -- Dr. Harrington does not participate in any insurance plans and office visits must be paid for up front. But from a medical perspective I have nothing bad to report.

A Doctor like Dr. Samuel Harrington gives a bad name to Doctor's overall. He lacks Dr./patient interaction skills. He should not be trusted in a role where he sees patients on a daily basis. I will not see him again.

terrible lies. I honestly believe that Dr, Harrington is an excellent doctor. His colleagues do as well, as he is highly rated on two different "best doctors" lists.

Doctor Samuel Harrington is thorough alright-Thoroughly Incompetent! He has caused at least one human being to die needlessly that I know of. I have been involved with the medical community for many years and in a position to know what kind of callous, uncaring, and incompetent doctor he is. I am certain Justice will be served one day and Doctor Harrington will no longer be in a position to do great harm to innocent and trusting patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harrington's for over 20 years and never had reason to complain about his servicesor his manner. I am impressed by his thoroughness.

Dr. Samuel Harrington caused me great damage, pain and suffering. A physician that it was my misfortune to ever see in the first place. Not only will I not ever see him again, I will advise all my friends to stay clear of this incompetent and uncaring physician. I thank Vitals from the bottom of my heart that you provide such a great public service to innocent patients who suffer at the hands of terrible doctors like Doctor Harrington, and allow us to expose them for what they truly are.
