Dr. Samuel Clark Hoover

My family first met Dr. Sam at the old T&R Clinic in Haltom City in 1979 when my wife went there with an attact of Kidney Stones. Ever since then Dr. Sam has been our family doctor for my wife, me, our daughter and our son, both who are grown adults now. Each and every time we went to see Dr. Sam, he took extra time to listen to us and carefully diagnose our symptoms and prescribed proper medication for our treatments. If he could not determine the problem and felt it was outside his areas of expertise, he was quick to refer us to other specialists for further treatment. We consider Sam a good family friend as well, not to say we use his friendship for favors, nor does he use our friendship for returned favors. He has a unique sense of humor and both me and my wife think he is a great doctor. We no longer see him on a regular basis because we have moved away from the Metroplex. However, if we ever have a question regarding our health, we are not afraid to call him for his… opinion or for consultation. So, for the negative reviews I have read on here, I am sorry those of you who think negatively of Dr. Sam. Maybe there was a failure to communicate somehow between you and him. But, honelstly, you might give him another try. These opinions are strictly those of me and have in no way been influenced by any contact from Dr. Sam.

I Told Dr. Samuel Hoover that i needed to lose 85 pounds, would he help me? He said yes and promised to order a new drug that was legal overseas only and not in the USi waited and in the meantime he perscribed my sisterinlaw strong painkillers. He told her to get the prescribtions made at two difrent pharmacys. He still didnt get my diet pills because he was ordering it to come to his office. Finally he calld me, said they had arrived. Well he wanted to charge me three rimed what they were listed to cost. Dr. Hoover said i had to pay or No pillsWhat kind of doctor would do that?Fair warning

A very poor doctor.Dr. Hoover misdiagnosed a simple illness, ordered expensive and unnecessary tests and prescribed numerous wrong medications.He was nasty on top of that.When I went to a different doctor, since I was not getting well, the doctor warned me to stay away from Dr. Hoover, because he has a bad reputation as a quack.I had no idea.A teacher had seen him also and had an even worse experience!Dr. Hoover's office staff -- totally incompetent and rude. My gosh, I have never heard such language when I tried to make my first appointment! I should have known right then.I learned later that he instructs his patients to write good reviews for him, and knocks his fees back. He has also written his own reviews! No wonder he sounds like a good doctor.Since that time, I have told neighbors to stay away from this man -- he is an incompetent and a disgrace.

I am honored and proud to say that I have been a patient of Dr. Samuel C. Hoover's for over 28 years. This man is a genius and has been a Godsend to me as well as my family. Regardless what your reason, or need to be seen by a physician may be, you can have peace of mind knowing that Dr. Hoover truly cares about his patients well-being. You are not just "another patient" to Dr. Hoover and his staff. Dr. Hoover practices medicine the way it should be practiced - with genuine concern for each and every patient.

He is an excellent Dr., knows his stuff and is not part of the PPO and HMO games, treats his patients how they need to be treated, and not how an insurance company tells him to treat people. I used to be with a PPO group and nothing ever got done until I had made 6 or 7 visits for the same problem.
