Dr. Samuel La Jolla Katz, MD

Dr. Katz recently was my treating physician at Doctors hospital of Manteca. From the moment they called my name to the signing of the discharge paperwork; it was a great experience. Dr. Katz went above and beyond to cover all basis and actually found what I have been thinking is wrong but other doctors kept telling me that I’m incorrect. Thank you Dr. Katz for being such a relief and great help.

I have to have a very, VERY bad experience for me to take time out of my day to leave a review. We'll after this doctor skipped me for a patient that showed up hour after I did, which I didn't take personal, but it adds up to all the unprofessionalism this guy had to offer during my visit. He ignore all of my symptoms, told me my blood results came back fine, which is great news. So now what? Because I'm obviously having health issues. This Dr. didn't offer anything to help me with my medical issue. No alternatives, no more questions why this might be, just nothing. Literally, mostly silence. I say mostly, because the time it wasn't, I was trying to hold the conversation and not let him leave with "That's pretty much it, and good luck" I've also noticed other reviews that are almost identical.The upsetting part is that he had nothing to say and kept breaking eye contact like if his assistant was going to intervene. Eventually got to the point where it was so quite and awkward, that he… actually just walks away. I asked his assistant that's it? she tells me its not her place to say anything and that he is one of the best doctors. Keep in mind I just moved. I told him the first time that I spoke that I don't have a primary doctor. After he tells me my results... he tells me to contact my primary doctor, so I reminded him. I'm confused why he is a doctor who doesn't seem like he actually wants to help patients. This was one of those situations where you really had to see the behavior of the employees at Doctors of Manteca. Something you really have to experience for yourself. But just take my word for it, you do not want to go here. My wife and I have even taken the measures to find a better hospital with doctors for when she gives birth. You know it's bad when your wife would rather be driven an hour while going into labor then drive to doctors of Manteca that's right down the road from us than not be treated right. Employees define somebody business, and the amount of compassion, professionalism, and even unawareness this specific doctor lacks, has made me to NEVER come to this terrible hospital, let alone see this doctor again. Not saying all staff there were bad, but if you are the doctor treating me, (which he didn't, just sent me home with nothing but a bill) I'm concerned about his ability to properly treat patients. There's an excuse for everything, but I'm not taking any from this guy. You'll either thank me later or wish you did.

My experience with Dr. Katz and his nurse was absolutely horrible. Both were rude, did not listen and made me wish I had not even bothered going to the hospital. After five hours in the ER, I was sent home because they thought nothing was wrong. After suffering for two more days, I found I had an infection that was causing all my symptoms. The doctor and his nurse thought they knew it all and passed judgement without listening to my wife or myself. Had they come down from their high horse and listened, they would have discovered what was wrong and I would not have suffered for two more days. If I could give zero stars for the doctor I would. For nurse bile, I would give negative stars if possible.
