Dr. Samuel Nice Macferran Jr, MD

Went to him for an interview about having our first child there as a patient. Wanted to adjust (not remove) the vaccine schedule, asked about it, and got multiple lies from him. First lie was that it was state-mandated- false. When I pressed him on this lie, he eventually said, "well, it's not, but it should be." That is a direct, accurate quote. Second lie was that not only would his practice refuse to see our child if we don't follow the CDC schedule (ethical issue I think, but true), but that no one else in town would either (lie). I left, picked up the phone, and the first Pediatrician I called said they would be happy to see us no matter what we chose regarding shots (not a quote). If he lies to us about those 2 things and thinks he's justified in doing so, what else is he lying about? I am a minister here in town, believe in ethical behavior, and his was appalling to me.

Dr. Macferran has been our pediatrician for 18 years, caring for our six children. He is somewhat shy and maintains a reserved manner until he gets to know you. Once familiar with you, he exhibits a fun sense of humor and a caring attitude toward the entire family. He explains his diagnoses thoroughly, and answers questions patiently. His office is always busy and wait times can sometimes be long, but once your turn comes you can be sure he will spend the time with you that you require.

the whole office including dr is ride. terrible bedside manner. I've heard he even made a new mother cry by telling her that her baby would die because she wanted to delay vaccines!
