Dr. Samuel Richard Pesin, MD

I have been seeing doctor Pesin for over 25 years. He is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen, in any field. He is honest, caring and willing to do what ever is needed to help. I would recommend that if you are having eye trouble you see him.

spent plenty of time with me, was concerned, did many tests and procedures to make certain of the problem, was able to schedule surgery the next day to relieve my pain and eliminate the floaters, excellent doctor, better then the doctor that did my cataract surgery, which caused the problem. he will remain nameless unfortunately.

I came in with a left retina that had detached the day before, Dr. Orgel, Dr. Pesin's associate had told me not to lay down the night of the detachment and confirmed it the next morning sending me on to Dr. Pesin for the emergency surgery. Dr. Pesin calmly explained the process, his education and experience and probability of success and I elected the surgery. He and his team did it that day, vitrectomy, scleral buckle, etc. with extensive follow-up to keep the pressures correct and avoid infection. He restored my sight and it is corrected with a prism lens to almost 20/20. His talents are a God send to those of us with vision issues.

Anyone who expects to have their eyes dilated should, of course, arrive with a driver. Although I am usually called in for preliminary exam & dilation in less than 10 minutes, my driver has had to wait as long as 35 to 50 minutes. It takes time for my eyes to dilate; for the assistants to do their work; for Dr.Pesin's examination; for the medication to be prepared and injected. On one occasion Dr.Pesin was called to the hospital ER, our wait stretched an extra 45 minutes. The staff asked if we wanted to reschedule, but we all stayed. Our Vision is precious and I would not deney any patient his time with this kind & caring excellant doctor.
