First time meeting him. Very personable. Felt he was actually listening to me. Thorough and presented ideas that made sense. Very hopeful this will work out.

I took my mom to see Dr Ruder for a concern with her erythrocytosis/polycythemia. Since that may be the cause of her recent stroke and also puts her at higher risk for a stroke, he set us up with almost immediate treatment options to lower her risk. This was very helpful while we wait for more specific blood results to come back in the next 2-3 weeks. He listened to me explain her whole history and took everything into consideration. I never felt rushed and Dr. Ruder was very compassionate, understanding and took his time. He went on to explain what the process may be when her results come back so there aren’t any surprises. The office was clean, organized and professional. Everyone welcomed us with a smile. We got there about 25 minutes before our appointment and didn’t have to wait long at all, maybe 10 minutes before we were taken back to one of the exam rooms. When we were checking out in the lobby Dr. Ruder was leaving to go outside and he saw my mom in the waiting area and gave… her a big smile and a wave goodbye. My mom brought this up to me and said she felt reassured and special. Something as small as that, being acknowledged and noticed in a room full of other people goes a long way (especially for the older population who are scared to see any doctor) We are so glad we chose Dr. Ruder to help my mother with her diagnosis and treatment plan.

I just saw him for the first time and am very impressed. He took plenty of time speaking with me and had clearly reviewed all my records.
