Dr. Hussain received her Medical Doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University, Syria, and served an Internship at Al-Obaissi Hospital, Syria, followed by a research Fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. Dr. Hussain completed her Residency in Anatomic Pathology with the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University, and a Residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hussain served two Fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, first in Oncologic Surgical Pathology followed by Thoracic Pathology. Prior to joining Providence Pathology, Dr. Hussain served as Attending Pathologist at the Nuclear Medicine Cancer Center in Syria, and Associate Pathologist with the Lovelace Sandia Health system in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
