Dr. NALLAINATHAN IS A GODSEND!

Dr Nally is working with two of my children, one with Mild Autism and ADHD, the other with ADHD and a processing disorder. Dr Nally clearly went over my sons disabilities, what the cause and effects were and what is happening in the brain. I feel very comfortable with him, he is highly respected by his peers and patients. Yes, he takes a bit to get used to. If he's asking your child a question, he doesn't want the answer from mom or dad. That makes sense when he's evaluating the child. I felt so comfortable with the entire practice that I am seeing Dr Barash for my adult ADHD.

Dr. "Nally" is awesome. He was my pediatric neurologist for over a decade. He even let me continue to see him as an young adult (21) because he wanted to follow me as he did with some of his challenging cases. He was very encouraging to me each time I had setbacks with seizures that led me to lose my license, jobs or break a bone. I cried many times in his office. He worked hard with me to try different med. combinations. He pushed me to keep up my grades in high school and then college. He wrote me a recommendation for a scholarship as he did for many of his patients. I think he is a wonderful doctor and person! It was often hard to schedule appts. with him, as he teaches at Yale School of Medicine, rotates between several medical offices, AND sees patients at Bpt. Hospital. But his patients wait patiently because many understand that most cases of epilepsy are idiopathic. Gaining seizure control if possible, can take a very long time and it is important to find the best doctor.

Although I would describe his bedside manner as an acquired taste for some, it took very little time for us to warm up to him. He is a wonderful doctor, with a remarkable sense of humor. He squeezed us in for an appointment (at 6:45 p.m. on a Friday evening) and was the only person left in the office long after the rest of the staff had left. As someone else said, I would trust him with my child's life.

I feel this doctor has to much on his plate. After my son has a seizure he says he wants to see him within a month, but it takes at least 3-4 month before we get an appointment. Then we are told we will be squeezed in so we don't get much time with him. It seems like he is always in rush. When I tell him my son's symptoms he said that they are not common, and do seem like seizures at all. Because of this the last time my son had an episode we called 911, and the EMT said my son absolutely has symptoms consistent with a seizure. When I look up his symptoms I find MANY parents who's children have the exact symptoms. I just want to know what is going on with my 2 year old. We have been going through this for over a year, and I don't feel like he cares about my son. Looking for a new doctor!

Not the ideal neurologist. He knows nothing about modern techniques for recovery. He's very old school and made me uncomfortable at times.

Dr. Nallainathan is a wonderful doctor,I truth him with my childs life. I thought he was very accurate and spent more than enough time with me and my child.
