Had pain in my foot. Dr Bains briefly looked at it - barley did an exam - and declared I either had a stress fracture or tendinitis. When the pain didn't go away after three weeks she told me to wear the boot for another three weeks, and that I probably had tendinitis. Again no in depth exam - about 10 minutes with me each time. I asked if this foot problem could have something to do with other issues in my foot -- she scoffed and told me nerves and tendons aren't the same things as bone --- Oh REALLY? I had no idea... What a rude assumption for her to make with a good question. Additionally, she gave me no information about tendinitis, no long term plan, no tips for helping it, no consideration that wearing a boot causes other issues in the body. No additional care or support. Found a different podiatrist and in a short time she determined I don't have tendinitis at all, the boot is causing more damage, and my foot issues ARE all interconnected and caused by weakness in my hips/legs.… Avoid this doctor -- not only does she not explore all the options and work to educate her patients, but she doesn't seem passionate or caring about what she's doing.
