Dr. Sandeep Duggal, MD

I took my father to the ER and Dr Duggal was wonderful. He spoke to us about everything and was very thorough. He gave me credit for knowing something that lead to a diagnosis. He is very good and has a good bedside manner.

Horrible physician

I was with him for less than 5 minutes. He asked me about 4-5 questions to determine I had Bell's palsy. The charge was $601. I asked for an itemized bill so I could find out exactly what added up to $601 in a 5-minute visit when he didn't even touch me. Apparently that is the base charge if you walk in the emergency room because the itemized bill came back with "emergency physician charge" as the only description. St. John's hospital has refused to provide an itemized bill, too, and their charges were almost $1,200 for 20 minutes--10 of which I was waiting in a cubile alone. The only tests were temperature and blood pressure. I am fine paying my bills--but feel it should be a fundamental right to know what I'm paying for. Go to a different emergency room!
