Dr. Sandeep Satyendra Vaidya, MD

He is the worst of all doctors I ever met. He has lack of professional manners and very arrogant. The feedback system of UW is scam and ineffective that is the very reason such doctors are still with UW.

Very technically skilled.

I have never met this bad of a doctor in my life. I am patient of prostate cancer and my prostate has swollen to the point where it blocked the urethra. So urine from my one of my kidney was not draining into my bladder. My urologist recommended putting a tub into my urethra (a procedure called Nephroureterostomy). I went for the procedure in Harborview at Radiology department and went through the procedure with no problem from the doctor of my choice. The next day after the procedure, I was trying to get up from a couch and accidently pulled on the tub. Where the tub was connected to a stopper broke (my bad luck!). I went into Radiology department in emergency and they told me that they will have to redo the procedure but there is nothing to worry about since the procedure is very simple because the tub is already in place we will just take the tub out and put a new tube into the same location. They said that I will not even feel the procedure it is that simple and thats why there is… no need to give seduction but if there is pain let us know we will give you seduction. I had to wait since I didnt have appointment, close to 6 P.M. they were able to get me into surgery room where only Dr Vaidya was on duty (my bad luck!!!!). I didnt have a chance to chat with the doctor before surgery, since I dont think he felt it was important. He didnt even take the time to read my notes to know anything about me because even after the surgery he didnt know that what kind of patient I am and why I have the tub in place to begin with. He simply just started the surgery, not sure if he didnt know what he was doing or the hospital employees (the nurses in the department) lied to me that this procedure doesnt hurt. The pain was unbearable. I told Dr. Vaidya that I am in a lot of pain and he simply ignored and said I am almost done. Instead of giving me pain medication or seduction. I again during the procedure told Dr. Vaidya that I am in a lot pain but his response was still same that I am almost done. After he completed the procedure, I was shaking due to pain and was losing my breath. The nurses brought me to the recovery room where the first time nurses realized that I was not in good condition due pain and my family member start to complain to the nurses. The nurse then rushed to Dr. Vaidya and he wrote pain med that they gave me through IV and after a few minutes I slowly started to come back in my senses and the pain started to reduce. I was in pain even after the surgery for until several days. Now I have a follow-up coming up with my own doctor so I will find out if Dr. Vaidya even performed a correct procedure of not. What's worse is my family demanded to talk to the doctor and when they spoke to him, they asked him why he did not give me seduction when nurse told us that they can give seduction if the patient wants. His response was very simple that because you did not have appointment I cannot make arrangements for you. If that was the case then they should have told us that before the surgery. It was like he wanted to punish me because he had to stay at the hospital till 6:30 P.M. because of me. We asked him that why did he not give me pain med during the procedure, he simply ignored. I dont understand he could a doctor simply ignore what his/her patient is telling him. After all me and my family went through because of Dr. Vaidya, he didnt say a word of sorry or anything to ease my concerns. In fact I still found his behavior to be extremely arrogant.I would hate for anyone else to suffer due to Dr. Vaidya irresponsible and arrogant behavior. I advice everyone not to use this doctor if you love or care about you loved ones or yourself.
