Sandra Burchett, MD, MSC

Dr. Sandra Burchett is a senior associate physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital and an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as Director of the Children’s Hospital AIDS Program (CHAP), where she leads efforts to improve care for children and adolescents affected by HIV and other complex infectious diseases.
Her clinical and academic work focuses on pediatric infectious diseases, including congenital HIV and care for immunocompromised patients. Dr. Burchett earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, followed by fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle.
