Dr. Sandra Doreen Cameron, MD

I have been seen her for 15 years and shes the best she cares about her patient I love her

I had her as a doctor a few years ago. She was not compassionate at all, and blamed all of my medical issues on my weight. Including a sinus infection, and strep throat. She refused to prescribe me Allergy medication because she told me I needed to lose weight instead. I finally left because I was in a car accident, and I was in a lot of pain the next day. I called the office to make an appointment, the office told me they couldn’t see me for two weeks, because all the doctors were on vacation. I never heard of such a thing!! So I took my files, and went to Riverbend and have been with them ever since.

I have been seeing Dr. Cameron for almost 10 years now. My previous doctor left the practice and I was then matched up with Dr. Cameron. My first visit with Dr. Cameron was all business and honestly, I was not sure that I would stick with her. However, I came back a few times and soon changed my tune. Yes, she is pretty straight forward and will be very frank with you. And thankfully she is! Seriously, how many of us avoid going to the doctor as we do not want to hear what they have to say. We are paying them to be real with us, tell it like it is - like it or not. We have great discussions, honest discussions, laugh a little (sometimes a lot) and we have earned each other's respect.

I inherited this doctor after another doctor, who was even worse if that is possible, left the practice. She doesn't listen, is downright rude, and offers no practical advice or support. Giving grief to patients over their weight and/or cholesterol levels is not helpful or productive, and it is pretty ironic that the fat doctor is picking on the patient's weight. Didn't return again.

Dr Cameron has been my doctor for many years and is very knowledgeable and thorough.

She should NOT be practicing medicine!!! She has WAY too many PERSONAL beliefs to the point where prescribing needed meds that are not even narcotics or pain killers effect a patients quality of life. She is overboard, rude and doesn't listen or care. Narcissistic would be an understatement. She is an extreme know it all and argumentative about anything medically that you try and discuss with her. NOT A GOOD DOCTOR AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT CHILDREN......

Dr. Cameron should not be practicing medicine or have anything to do with dealing with the public. She is stoic, rude and most definitely not compassionate and respectful like she swore to with the AMA and its Code of Medical Ethics.

This doctor has no idea what goes on in her own office wit phone calls witch lead to me being. Very sick this woman should be more productive with her staff she is not a good person for this and I will be filing a complaint wit mass media board

I called to see if one of the doctors in this practice was taking new patients, and it turned out she wasn't. The receptionist said that Dr. Cameron was, however, so I asked to set up an appointment. The receptionist said, "Just to let you know, Dr. Cameron doesn't prescribe birth control or long term pain medication." I asked why she didn't prescribe birth control, and the receptionist said, "She doesn't believe in it." While I actually don't need birth control, I certainly would not go to any doctor (and particularly a female doctor) who would limit the rights of her patients.
