Rude staff. Long wait times. She doesn’t listen to you concerning pain. Just continues on same meds. I’ve moved on to a great doctor who takes great care of me and has an awesome staff

I have been a rheumatology patient of Dr. Hoffmann for about 20 yrs. I have nothing but respect for Dr. Hoffmann based on the complexity of diagnosing and treating auto-immune and rheumatological conditions. There have been longer office wait times, but just as many or more times that I am in and out of the office in reasonable amounts of time. I have gone into the office for a follow-up visit and happened to have a joint flare up causing pain. Dr. Hoffmann will do a steroid injection into the joint right then. Many doctors will reschedule you another appt to come back to have a treatment done. Dr. Hoffmann cares about her patients and if she can help you right then during appt, she will. I understand that maybe the patient she is seeing before me is in a lot of pain, and being treated with a procedure that forces me to wait an extra 20 min. I'm okay with that because Dr. Hoffmann has done the same thing for me in the past. She's compassionate, empathetic, extremely… knowledgeable, and will take whatever time is needed to answer questions and work together with you on a plan of care and follow-up. As with any doctor/specialist: Go to your doctor visit with questions written down, know your meds and be an active part of your care along with your doctor. I would recommend Dr. Hoffmann to anyone needing her expertise in rheumatology.

My third time seeing this dr. and she interrogated me about why I've been a stay at home mom and why I don't work now. Help me with my pain and maybe I could stand to work? She acted like I was trying to get disability which I've never ever even mentioned because I don't want it!!!! She said if my husband suddenly died I wouldn't have anything. What?!!! Are you kidding me? Two words...Life Insurance. The visit was rushed and she was still talking as she walked out the door with her back to me. Going to talk to my primary physician about recommending someone else.

Now that Dr. Hoffmann has changed her practice I actually enjoy my visits to her office. Wait time is minimal and staff are pleasant and helpful, a great asset to a very good doctor.

Have to go to Dr. Hoffman because of insurance reasons. Appreciate her expertise and have confidence in her medical skills but she needs to do something about her office staff. I work in the health field and there is absolutely no reason what so ever for over an hour and half wait EVERY time I have an appointment. The staff is rude when questioned about anything. I have been going to her for over ten years and this has never changed. Hopefully she will read these comments and fix her office staff or fire her office manager.

She does not fully listen to complaints. She cuts the patient off and makes a diagnosis without hearing the whole issue. Not very friendly. Always seems in a hurry.

When I first started seeing Dr. Hoffman, for the most part, everthing seemed fine, however after a few appointments, I started noticing the rudness of the staff, the excessive wait times (30 minutes before the nurse saw me and at least another 30 minutes before Dr. Hoffman saw me. Then the last two appointments, she wanted me to taper down my medicine (at the time taking 5mg prednisone) but she prescribed me to take more than what I was previously taking (7.5mg). I lowered myself down to 2.5mg on my own. When I brought that up to her at the next appt, she didn’t seem to concerned about it. In face she yawned several times during my appt. She then prescribed be to take 5mg, which was what I was originally taking. My last straw was when she said that I would need labs for my next appointment and to go to LabCorp a week before my appointment and they will have the order in their system. I showed up at LabCorp and they did not have any lab orders for me. I am lucky that none of these… things cause any issues with my health, but I don’t want to take the chance any longer. I would advise anyone looking into Dr. Sandra Hoffman to steer clear.

Didn't have my file but got angry because I brought it to her attention ! Horrible, many Ti Times! And her staff is horrible, they never answer phone's.

the staff is extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. The telephone system always experiences issue, and it is extremely difficult to get through to make an appointment or to get questions answered. There is typically a lengthy wait so plan on being there for quite a while. However, once you do finally see Dr. Hoffman or Kimberly Buck they are very knowledgeable and demonstrate compassion towards their patients. I would recommend going seeing them for your medical needs IF you could get past the terrible service from the staff and the telephone issues.
