Dr. Howell goes on beyond the norm to care for her patients. She cares about the whole patient and it shows in every way. Rather than merely following the norm, she views and cares for every patient in a personal way - even setting them up for help in dealing with a diagnosis.

Doesn't explain things well enough. Had 1 surgery & she didn't get clean margins. Was ready to schedule 2nd surgery, then she decided to do MRI. When asked why this wasn't done first, she stated she wished she would have but "insurance company likes us to keep the costs down." Waited 9 days for MRI results & when 2nd surgery was done I feel she was WAY too aggressive and didn't inform me of amount of tissue removed. I was shocked with the appearance and switched Dr's immediately. Wish I would have had a second opinion BEFORE the 2nd surgery.

It took 4 months for this doctor to dictate her report on my office visit, and an additional 2 months to finally get it to the referring physician (6 months total).In the office she seemed caring enough, but since my office visit this doctor has refused to discuss test results with me. I had valid questions, but her staff tells me that she will not call me. So I wrote her a respectful letter explaining my questions, and she did not respond in any way! I truly do not understand this attitude.Her office staff is undependable and rude.
