Dr. Sandra Marlene Lawrence, MD

Dr. Lawrence should lose her medical license. She has no idea of how to deal with patients. She has no compassion or empathy. I can say a whole lot more but at the end of the day she’s just a horrible unintelligent disgusting person that shouldn’t have the right to practice medicine or deal with people ever.

Lawrence started seeing my daughter about 7 years ago, after many other failed attempts at trying to find out what was going on with her at many "of the other popular rheumatologists." She was having horrible issues and not any of the drs I brought her to- would listen to her or really try to find out how we could help her. Dr L diagnosed her by looking at her and examining her. She ran the correct tests and was able to start helping her right away. We trust Dr L with everything now, she cares, talks with, and runs the needed tests to help diagnose her patients. She has really became a part of our family, I don't know what we would have done without her. I have seen her teach the other drs and nurses at the hospital, how to look at patients and try to think out of the box. Rheumatology is such a specialty, where two things are usually never the same. Thank you Dr Lawrence for always being there day after day! I trust her 100% and highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Dr. Lawrence for almost 11 years and she is absolutely amazing; She has helped me so much. She listens to you, genuinely cares, and is extremely professional. She has helped me through some of my hardest times. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a rheumatologist.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Lawrence. My experience with her treating my daughter as a new lupus patient was the best. She treated my daughter like her own. Dr. Lawrence is very knowledgeable and smart. She was very attentive and answered all my questions in great detail. If you are looking for a great Pediatric Rheumatologist look no further.

I am very happy that my daughter's doctor referred me to Dr. Lawrence. We have been seeing her for the past two years and are happy with her service. She is thorough, follows-up on our requests. My daughter is always excited to see Dr. Lawrence. She certainly knows how to treat children well. My child's problem is improving very well with Dr. Lawrence's help.

Dr. Lawrence has been taking care of my son since he was 6 years old. A recurring swelling of his knee was eventually diagnosed as juvenile arthritis and from the very first day the Dr. Lawrence has been essential to my son's recovery. At 14 years old, I am happy to say he is in remission. Dr. Lawrence customized a plan for us and we followed it to a tee. She is so invested in her patients and is in it for the long haul. We trust her and she has become an important person in our lives.

Learn from my mistakesâ?¦Please listen to the majority of the reviews on this site! She is a Horrible person and doctor. We had a Horrible experience with her and her support staff. Aside from the facts that you will regularly wait 2 to 4 hours to see her and her support staff does not give her messages/or she does not bother to return phone calls for a very long time (which is unacceptable when you have an ill child), she is mean, nasty and vindictive. While on the telephone with her, after waiting more than 10 days for her to return my call, I asked several questions when she told me she wanted to hospitalize my child, and pump her full of chemotherapy and steroids. She got frustrated with my questions and hung up the phone on me! At that point I decided to get a second opinion. And when I return to her office, with a scheduled appointment, she refused to see my child even though we were standing right in front of her. She said she "discharged" my child and refused to… help her. It was awful. My child thought the doctor cared about her patients but she clearly does not. It's very sad to me that she's a PEDIATRIC doctor who doesn't care about her patients. Worst doctor ever.

Well worth the wait - the Dr. takes the time to make sure you are comfortable and all your questions, spoken and unspoken, are answered. She includes you in the treatment decisions and takes your opinions and values into consideration.

I've been seeing this doctor since 2008 and I love her. She's the best. I would recommend her any day. She knows her stuff and is very helpful and respectful. I'll forever visit her for my follow ups
