Dr. Sandra Mancilla, MD

Notice the previous reviews for Dr. Mancilla were from 2015 back. This is a 2019 review, which shows that her care has REALLY gone down hill. My 88 year old father started going to her almost two years ago, after we moved from NC to DE. She has seen him for regular checkups since. Then, my dad had to go to the emergency room last Friday night because he had a fecal impaction and was in extreme pain. They gave him an enema to clear him and sent him home with instructions to call his primary doctor to report what happened. By Monday, he hadn't had a bowel movement again, so he called the doctor to report the ER visit and tell her about his constipation. He didn't hear back from her so, he called her again on Tuesday AM. She had her assistant call him back to tell him to give himself an enema. He bought one and gave it to himself, but it didn't work. He called Tuesday afternoon to tell her it didn't work and that he still hadn't been able to have a bowel movement. She didn't return his… call at all. Then on Wednesday morning, during her regular hours, I called her (I'm my dad's medical POA, and she has that record), and the call went straight to her voicemail, so I left a message about my dad's condition and asked her to call us back with instructions. No returned call. I called her again Thursday (this morning during her regular hours) and the call went straight to voicemail to tell her we were on our way to the ER since it had been 6 days since his last bowel movement. It is now Thursday afternoon and still no call back. I explained to the ER doctor that this is the first emergency my dad has had since choosing her as his primary doctor and her unresponsiveness was completely unprofessional. What a SHAME!!!!! He gave me a list of doctors that are taking new patients, and we will be quitting her. INEXCUSABLE!!!!! Don't bother, people!!!

Dr. Mancilla is wonderful, I became a patient a few weeks ago, she took the time to hear my concerns and explain to me with patience and details of how I should be taking my medications an my diet. My previous doctor was not consistent with my treatment. Friendly staff, easy to get an appointment and quick turnaround. I will recommend her to my friends and family.

I am a new patient and was pleasantly surprised during my first visit.

This office is the worse, the staff is so rude and have a nasty attitudes. When you work with people good attitude is one thing you have to have and if you dont have it then your in the wrong field. The doctor is just worried about what she looks like and what she wearing and not her patients. I will not recommend this office to friends or family!
