Dr. Sandra Simmons, MD

Prior to moving to the beautiful west, she practiced for five years in a suburb of Indianapolis, Indiana. Growing up in Michigan she attended Michigan State University for undergraduate and completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her residency at Riley's Children's Hospital at the Indiana University Medical Center. She enjoys working with all stages of the developing child and their families but given the number of years she has practiced at Missoula Valley Pediatrics she has a large adolescent patient population. It has given her much fulfillment to help navigate her patients through this challenging developmental stage both physically and psychologically.Outside of her practice of pediatrics she has made it a priority to be involved with the community. She has previously served on the boards of Watson Children's Shelter, Missoula International School and the board of directors at Community Medical Center. She has also …volunteered with the Missoula Food Bank since 2002.Dr. Simmons spends her free time enjoying numerous sporting events with her family, running, cooking and reading.
