Dr. Sandra Sandee Win, MD

I have had two appointments with Dr. Win. First appointment, she kept me waiting nearly 2 HOURS past my appointment time, and then did not listen at all to my description of symptoms/issues. My second visit went only somewhat better, however this Dr. gets defensive when I question her about anything. She forced two referrals which I declined during my visit... and then she scheduled these outside referrals anyway, AGAINST MY WISHES. I do not feel at all confident that she is capable of providing competent care. I am on the search for a competent physician.

Dr. Win rushed through my new patient visit, for which she or her staff did not allow extra time - it was scheduled for 15 minutes, even though I informed the person booking the appointment that I had a complex history, a number of prescriptions to transfer, and a few current issues. Although I did not know it was going to be a short appointment, I brought documentation of all my meds, medical history, and current symptoms because I wanted to make it easier for the doctor, and reduce the possibility of errors. The summary paperwork for my visit listed diagnoses for conditions I did not have, and failed to list ones that were relevant and documented. Dr. Win made errors in the dose of two prescriptions, and failed to respond adequately to the prior authorization requests from insurance. Even though Dr. Win had what was needed for a successful prior authorization request after my first visit, and from each of several subsequent calls, it has been over 5 weeks and I still don't… have the medications. I have had to stop cold turkey medications which list potentially deadly side effects resulting from sudden cessation. Most atrocious, however, is that in my follow-up visit Dr. Win seemed unwilling to address the problems and made statements such as "I'm not responsible for what the people I work with do," "I have many responsibilities," "what do you want me to do," and even attacked my character despite my calm tone and careful explanations. Not once did she assure me that she would attempt to fix the problem or offer any constructive solution. I've mulled over my experience with Dr. Win for a few days before writing this short account, and I spoke to friends in healthcare to try to get some perspective. Bottom line is that I suffered because of Dr. Win, and she put my health at risk.
