Dr. Sanford Maurice Levy, MD

I was assigned to Dr Levy years ago with neuropathy.. He assigned me drugs on tv and then had zombie side effects, and felt drugged.. Then he hooked me up to his electric wiring machine that he didnt know how to use and kept shocking my legs and saying "oh no and oops". This guy should of retired years and years before this.. He was losing his sight and kept hooking up the wrong wires to my legs and shocking me again and again until litvak another dr walked in and he gave up,.. He said lets do this another time and i barley walked out and he retired after that..

I totally agree, Dr. Sandford Levy IS rude, pompous and arrogant. Gave me a diagnosis and was not open to questions. Then outright lied and told me that he did not give me the diagnosis when I asked him questions; perhaps that was too much of a bother. So let me add insulting to that list. Maybe it's time to take down that shingle Dr. Levy. He has absolutely no compassion or bedside manner whatsoever. If you're looking for a neurologist, look elsewhere.

I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. The dr saw me within 10 minutes of my appointment time. He asked many questions and did a thorough exam.

This Doctor is down right rude. I had 2 appts. and had to wait 2 months each time. When I got there on time was left to wait in the exam room for 30-40 mins both times. The doctor made me feel as is I am exaggerating a chronic condition that I've had for 30 years, He was definitely not interested in my history or current situation. I was left feeling insulted and helpless.

Waited 3 months to see Dr Levy, when I finally did he spoke to me like I was imagining things. Told me to wear lose jeans and take Motrin. Never followed up or anything. Called my primary care, had an appointment with another doctor in Beverly two days later, and within a week was told I have Epilepsy. Thanks a bunch Dr Levy!

I have been seeing Dr. Levy twice a year for 11-12 years. I don't understand the 1.5 star rating of the first five reviewers. Perhaps only the complainers are taking the time to do this rating. I disagree with the low ratings.

He told me I just have an anxiety disorder.Told me I did not need any testing.He was really rude.After seeing a much better neurologist I found out I have POTS,frontal lobe seizures, and peripheral neuropathy.Turns out I did need the tests Dr.Levy denied me.I believe these issues would be easier to treat if they were caught back when I saw him.All around horrible experience with him.

Seriously see a real doctor in Boston.Got stuck with him due to location/insurance/ER referral.They've canceled appt's on me after waiting over a month.Told me having a TIA at 25 is normal.Told me my chronic severe debilitating symptoms were probably just a mood disorder.I know for a fact I don't have a mood disorder.No one likes this office,even my PC.On my way to Boston now.
