Dr. Sangtae Caleb Kim, DO

My experience with Dr. Sang Kim’s office at FMC Health has been a consistent pattern of administrative mistakes, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. Every interaction revealed another failure. At my first appointment, no one asked for my medical history or performed a standard intake. I came in because I was sick, and the visit felt rushed and minimal. When I returned later for specialist referrals, I asked if they had my medical history on file — they did not. I had to provide it again, in person, directly to Dr. Kim. I scheduled that second visit specifically to obtain referrals. I gave the names and details of the specialists I needed when I booked the appointment, and again face-to-face with Dr. Kim. Despite being handed the correct information twice, the office still managed to get one out of three referrals wrong, sending a referral to a doctor I never named. This is not a complicated task, yet they still fumbled it. This was on top of the original… issue: the clinic ignored six separate notifications to submit a required prior authorization for syringes tied to my allergy treatment. They never submitted it, which forced me to pay out of pocket for something insurance would have covered. I was also double-billed a specialist fee that was never corrected. The communication failures didn’t stop there. I kept receiving automated appointment reminders from their system for allergy shots; but when I called my allergist to confirm, she told me they had never informed her of anything. Even their automated messages didn’t match their actual actions. After documenting these issues in a BBB complaint, the clinic responded not with an explanation, not with a correction, and not with a refund; but with a letter stating they would no longer provide me services. I wasn’t planning to return after everything that happened, but the fact that this was their official response instead of accountability says everything about how this office handles responsibility. The only unfortunate part is that my allergy shots will have to be transferred elsewhere. But given how this clinic handles even the simplest administrative tasks, that’s likely for the best. If you value competent administration, accurate referrals, correct billing, and a provider who takes responsibility instead of avoiding it, look elsewhere.

Dr.Kim has been our family doc for as long as I can remember. I have gone on occasion to another doc and have not gone back. I don't believe he is arrogant as others say but he does know almost everything about everything health related. He has been able to Dx each abnormality every single time, as well as prescribe the most effective Rx. I just went a day ago after seeing two other docs, one being a specialist, and they couldn't fig it out. It took him a whole five min to pinpoint Dx. I highly recommend not waist your time shopping around and come see Dr. Kim.

Dr Kim is our Family Doctor and takes care of me my husband and 6yoa adopted daughter he is caring and understanding always has time to talk with us and very plesant. we would trust him any medical need we had
