Sangbaek Oh, MD

Dr. Oh is a great gastro Doctor and a class act. He takes the time to talk with you and understand your issues. I have been going to Dr. Oh for years now and during every visit he sits and explains to me what is going on with my issues and what needs to be done to help resolve them. He will even draw diagrams on his board in his office to help you understand better if needed. I had my first ever colonoscopy and endoscopy. A little bit nervous I must say. He explained and made the procedure just as it went. A breeze. The Mountainside Hospital staff was exceptional too. If you are in search of a top notch gastroenterologist. Look no further.

I have been a patient of Dr Oh since he was newly practicing in Montclair NJ. That is a long time and I have always had a terrific experience with him. He's smart and kind and listens. All the things we want and need and require in good health care. Of course I miss the days of an office and a staff that knows you well. But im afraid those days are gone and im.lucky that I got to experience that time. My husband has been going to Dr Oh for many years, he is extremely knowledgeable, he explains everything in a way you can understand, he's personable but his expertise in diagnosing is great. And very nice nurses and office staff. Helpful. Highly recommended

Dr. Oh is the doctor that you instantly feel comfortable with. He’s young, down to earth, listens to you and is just a really nice man. My former gastro retired and I visited Dr. Oh for the first time last week because I was due for my colonoscopy. I was booked for it today and everything went beautifully. I saw him before the procedure and he asked if I had any questions. I saw him right after when he came into recovery. He even drew a little picture of my colon to show me where a polyp was, lol. His office is right across from Mountainside Hospital and my procedure was done at the hospital. 2.5 hours from the time I walked in to the time I was discharged. Just a really great doctor. Dr Oh is an excellent physician.

Before I turned 45, I looked for a gastroenterologist so that I could have a colonoscopy. Dr. Oh was recommended to me because of my insurance and proximity. Dr. Oh made the entire process stress-free and explained my results. I recently visited him for another issue and he was able to resolve it quickly and without medical intervention. I highly recommend him and plan to utilize his services in the future.

Dr Oh is great. Found the front desk not to be as helpful as they used to be. Dr. Oh told me my records seem to be missing. I called back the next day, they told me I needed to call medical records and take care of it myself. They lost my records with Dr Oh, not Mountainside, and they have me hunting them down. Been a while but they were so pleasant in his old office.

Dr Oh is very personable and experienced. He makes you feel very comfortable and gives opportunities for questions and explains everything thoroughly. His office staff are very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend Dr Oh

Ok, it almost seems like a joke to have a gastrointerologist named Dr. OH! (note feigned surprise and widened eyes), given the invasiveness of his interests but he couldn't be more warm or convivial. The new offices are clean and nice, a minor wait for a late-afternoon appointment but not bad (earlier appointments are wait-free). Dr. Oh is very bright, very personable and took his time to both explain and illustrate by drawings the procedure and helped manage my expectations. He is simply terrific. He wound up referring me for an ultrasound and the referred Dr. Shulick was very likeable as well.

Dr. Oh was very informative and friendly. I felt listened to and he explained everything that was concerning to me. The office and very clean and the staff were also very welcoming and professional.
