Dr. Sangeethapriya Duraiswmy, MD

Dr. Duraiswamy has been seeing me for a few years now and I have never left her office feeling like she didn't understand what I came to see her for. She is a very good listener, she ask you questions she completely understands what is going on with you and she works extremely well with your other heatlh care providers. I have absolute total confidence in the health care I get from her.

If you need a routine test, colonoscopy, etc. this doctor may be a good idea, but when you have a possibly life threatening problem that requires excellent diagnostic skills don't bother coming to Dr. Duraiswamy. She has none! This was by far the worst experience in my lifetime. My dad's severe symptoms should have prompted quick action as every day was a huge struggle and we grew very worried by his deteriorating health that came out of nowhere. While waiting on her scheduled procedures, he ended up in ER severely dehydrated with very low blood pressure. A gastroenterologist on call, without seeing my father, recognized the life threatening problem being caused by his blood pressure medication and asked us not to go through with the scheduled colonoscopy and endoscopy as my dad was too weak to get those done at this point. My father suffered severely weeks (lost 25 lbs) and was almost unable to walk while Dr. Duraiswamy prescribed Pepto-Bismol and a wait for the procedures. No… sense of urgency to help. No calls back to check on him after I called begging for help. She missed her calling with this profession. Being a medical technician might have been a better choice. She is definitely lacking some key medical knowledge as her diagnostic skills are zero to none. This is evident in some of the other comments you can view here. I wish she would realize that her lack of knowledge can cost someone their life as it could have been in my father's case. Her staff is incompetent as well. I had to go to a test center three times because they are unable to send a simple request for labs.

I’ve had Dr Duraiswamy for several issues since 2014. She has a very friendly demeanor & extremely knowledgeable. I’ve had gastric problems most of my life. She has done 2 colonoscopies & explained the procedure & results in a manner that comforted & assured me. She also has referred me to have extensive testing for the health of my liver & pancreas. Dr Duraiswamy, is very thorough to give me the best care that there is today. I’ll never want to go to a different doctor!

Dr. Duraiswamy takes time to listen and explain a plan of care. I've been to physicians in other practices and none have been able to help diagnose my health issues like her. I finally have a diagnosis and plan to follow. She truly cares about her patients.

I am an RN and have worked with many physicians. I would rate Dr. Duraiswamy at the top of all physicians I’ve ever seen. She is knowledgeable, skilled and competent with procedures and is on top of all problems/concerns with my health. And she has an incredible “bedside manner”...She really is the best!

My husband and I both receive care from Dr. Duraiswamy close to 4 years now. Whether it is an appointment or procedure scheduling has never been an issue.
