Dr. Sanghamitra Basu, MD

If you can find your way past the office staff, you will get care. Dr. Basu Herself Is Great. Long waiting time, confused and clueless front desk staff (billing, scheduling, prescriptions and ordering of tests. Lack of knowledge where it concerns medical terminology). Dr. Basu is a 5+... her staff and office organization 0. Unfortunately, this is a long standing situation and is not worth my aggravation. The office staff is responsible to the Dr. That's where the buck is spent and ends. I would not bother with this situation again.

Worst doctors office I've ever been to. Everytime I hace an appointment I am there for 3-6 hours. Ridiculous!!!! Office staff is rude and I would not recommend this doctors office to my worst enemy. If you want to waste your time and be treated like crap then this is the place for you but I am not putting up with it anymore. Finding another doctor after over a year of dealing with this horrible place.

Had appt at 4pm., arrived early at 200pm, announced my self by name and said I'd just wait In office till 4. 425pm comes, I approach front office, before I could say a word, front office staff to someone, he was early and told her he'd wait. So I go back and sit durn. 455pm I approach desk and ask for my id and insurance card . At that point an apologize was offered, way too late. People go to pain doctors cause they are in pain. People don't go to doctors to be forgotten. I've already called my primary for another referral. On only two other previous appointments, I noticed with me and other patients the front office was very much in disarray. Also in very first visit, it was a rather warm day and a/c was in order. Many patients in waiting room and many complained. Front office staff downright lied that the A/C was on. We all knew it was not, if it was on on, it was not functioning . This is sad for Dr. Basu for we hadn't started dialog on my treatment. Who knows,… it might have worked for me. But Dr Basu and staff will not have the pleasure of my business moving forward, unless their the only game in town .

JI was lucky and found a really good Doctor, Dr. Basu she's at the sans. Pain clinic in Las Vegas Nevada she is very thorough and puts herself. On your team I am over 70 and dr basu is my lucky find get her on your team if you want the best care. Anyone who complains about. Having to wait needs to quit being a lazy cry baby so what if you have to wait a little extra

If you have nothing better to do than wait in a doctor's office, then this doc is for you! On my first visit I waited until 6:30pm for a 3:50pm appointment. If I showed up 2.5 hours late I wouldn't be seen. When I confronted her about it she just shrugged it off and said that she likes to spend time with her patients. 10 minutes, staring at the computer, doesn't even check you out. The doctor and her staff write prescriptions for drugs that are not covered by the insurance and can't be bothered to check that before you leave the office. When you go to your pharmacy and find out the prescription is not covered you have to make another appointment with the doctor to get the prescription changed. At that appointment they still did not check until I forced them to, whether the medicine was covered by the insurance. She also does not use anesthesia when doing injections and doesn't even check to see if the insurance covers it.

The wait times are terrible. The office staff has lost my appointments (including when I can produce an appointment card in their own handwriting), sent my scripts to the wrong pharmacy, and failed to fax references to specialists on my behalf. I have monthly appointments and see the doctor herself only rarely. I spend an hour or more in the waiting room and am attended by the nurse for fewer than 20 minutes.

I have averaged 2.5 hours waiting time in this tiny waiting room with sick, smelly patients. If you call the office, you have to leave a message, which is never returned, unless you are a new patient. Ah! That's the trick!

It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Basu. She was very kind and spent allot of time with me.Very smart lady

Worst office personel EVER! Office staff are completely clueless! Dr Basu is very nice, however lost a patient, and I'm sure many others, due to her incompetent office staff!

I like Dr. Basu as a person, she is nice and seems to be genuinely concerned about her patients being pain free, however, her office is run very poorly, the wait is horrendous, the staff is at best apathetic and she likes to push juice for terminal patients.
