Dr. Sanjay Parbatbhai Barochia, MD

Dr. Barochia did not catch an extremely high blood sugar in my physical. When I still was feeling awful, I went to an endocrinologist who was shocked that a Primary Care Physician could overlook this in my blood work. He urged me to find another physician immediately. Nevertheless, I stayed with the practice assuming it was an oversight. It wasn't. My husband went to Dr. Barochia, and was prescribed a drug that did his health harm. He got off of it immediately. When my 86yr. old father, a patient of Dr. Sanjay Barochia's, ended up in a hospital that the doctor regularly did rounds in, I called Dr. Barochia. My dad was asking if Dr. Barochia knew he was sick. He truly thought that his Primary Care would care enough to stop in at the Hospital, or reach out to him. Not a chance! In fact, when I asked if he intended to check up on my father he told me "no doubt, someone will send a report to me if you mentioned I was his doctor." I tried to discuss my concerns about these issues with the… doctor, but he was so EGO DRIVEN, that instead of apologizing and listening to my concerns he invited me to leave his practice. He didn't feel respected by me. I called him Dr. Sanjay, instead of Dr. Barochia, and he reminded me that HE WENT TO MEDICAL SCHOOL, not me. My thoughts on this doctor are as follows; he doesn't truly listen or care about his patients, he is in practice purely for the money because he requires a visit no matter why you call him, if you end up in the hospital he won't be there to have your back, and if you are a strong woman with boundaries and refused to be bullied he will dismiss your concerns. Is it cultural? I don't know. Beware and stay far away from this practice, especially if you are female.

Recently saw Dr. Barochia for the second time. He is very friendly, caring, and easy to talk to. He is down to earth and very thorough.

My husband and I had blood work done for Dr. Barochia. He never called to tell us the results or discussed them with us the next time we visited. At my last appointment with him, he scolded me for nursing my infant past 7 months, when it is well known that infants should be nursed up to at least a year old. Then he misdianosed me and advised me to go to another doctor so he wouldn't have to treat me himself. We will not return to him.
