Dr. Sanjay Chabra, DO

I had four appointments with this Doctor. I never saw him. The NP was nice but shouldnt you at least see a Dr. one time? All appointments after the first were on line at his request. Weent though 6 prescriptions in 2 months- none worked.

i love my new doctor, Dr. Chabra. after seeing 4 other doctors in the El Paso area, Dr. Chabra was able to diagnose my issues and put me on the right medication. He listens, spends plenty of time answering my questions and doesn't make me feel that he is rushed to get to the next patient. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to get a hold of anyone at the front office. phone goes unanswered after calling several times. He asked me to contact him if i had any issues with my meds, but how can i let him know, if no one answers the phone? ?? it's very frustrating. The Dr, gets 5 stars, receptionist, 1 star!

There must be a new receptionist at the office as I had an excellent experience. My Rheumatologist moved out of town and I was running out of medication. I explained the situation and the staff scheduled me for an online visit with Dr Chabra who had already reviewed my file and was familiar with my history. He was very patient and listened to my concerns and by the end of the day I got a call that all my medications were ready to pick up from the pharmacy. This was truly exceptional care !! Thanks

Dr Chabra is an amazing doctor, but really needs to screen who sits behind the reception desk. I believe I heard someone call her by Klaudia. There used to be no customer service issues before this young lady. I’d hate to leave Dr Chabra after so many years for a mistake in hiring this girl. I really hope he reads this review. Other patients in the waiting area were whispering to their significant others saying the same thing about this receptionist’s attitude. Please doctor, do something about this.

Doctor is great but office is horrible they don't answer their phones and very rude so I will be changing doctors because of office

Usually I have a good experience at Dr. Chabra Office but I have to agree with other reviews where the receptionist is concerned. She is unprofessional and rude. She needs to find another job. She doesn’t represent him well.

Dr. Chabra is a very caring, and outstanding doctor. He treats my arthritis. Unfortunately, his receptionist is rude, manipulative, indifferent to his patients. At my last visit I was seen Dr. Chabra’s assistant. She prescribed hydroxychloroquine, which caused severe side-effects after taking it for a month. I had heart palpitations, short of breath, and loss of appetite. I called today to make an appointment with Dr. Chabra. His receptionist asked me who is my doctor that referred me. I told her that I was an established patient and that she had that information. She hung up on me; I called again, when I told her of the adverse side effects, she scheduled appointment me 3 weeks later. I asked for an earlier appointment; she was indifferent; did not ask how I was feeling. Ultimately, the responsibility the patients’ falls on the practitioner, not the receptionist. In this case the receptionist has quite a bit of power as she can delay appointments simply because… she can, regardless of the repercussions. That’s a lot of power as the practitioner, not the receptionist, is accountable for the well-being of the patients he serves.

Never answers there phone. Takes her weeks to send an email are you have to get her to do it several times before she gets it right. His a really good doctor you can tell he cares but frustrating when you can't get anything done even a prescription

Searching for a Rheumatologist because my current doctor is closing shop. I called Dr. Chabra's office to make an appointment but my call was immediately put on hold. They didn't answer, didn't ask if I could be placed on hold, nothing. So I hung up. I've already had to deal with rude receptionists or office staff who act as if they are the boss, I'm asking them for money or treat me like a bother. The way they answer or don't answer their phone is a red flag, so No thank you.

I've only been eeing him a couple of weeks but already he's won my respect. I have been suffering for more then 5yrs. Always being turned away and being told y pain was in my head. Even after being diagnosed I wa dismissed by other doctors. Dr. Chabra wasn't one of those doctors. He seen it in my hands in my face and in the way I walk that I truly was in pain and not being treated properly only try to cover up my pain to shut me up. He started me on proper medications nd when I told him I suffer a little he didn't hesitate to change my medication so that I can be comfortable. This doctor cares about his patience.
