Dr. Sanjay Ghosh, MD

Thanks for not listening to me when I told you I was still in severe pain. Also thanks for the infections caused during surgery and the extra time it took to try and heal. I now have failed back surgery syndrome and live in pain every day.

I have no clue how this Dr. could be in the "top 10". Insisted on the wrong diagnosis. If he had come up with the correct diagnosis I might have been spared months of agonizing nerve pain. I needed a specific medication in the 1st month of my disease. Totally dropped the ball.

Dr. G was beyond clutch with the diagnosis, treatment, and follow up for thoracic spinal cord compression. He was compassionate, scientific, and straight-forward. I am mountain biking, riding waves, and lifting weights following his intervention and care. He gave me a chance and I have made the most of it. Thank you Dr. G and awesome staff!!!!

Dr. Sanjay Ghosh and his team have made my life immeasurably better. Approx. 4 years ago I had a lower back spine fusion done by Dr. Ghosh. Prior to the surgery, I had been living with chronic pain for approx. 5-6 years, (origin of back problems are unknown) and was very scared of the real possibility that the back pain could possibly get worse due to spinal surgery complications. As a result, I lived my life in chronic pain, and often times had to take pain killers to walk or even just to sleep. ... until one day, I decided I wanted to stop being on pain killers, and to hopefully get an opportunity to live life "fairly pain free". I consulted with several local area surgeons regarding my chronic leg and back pain, but ultimately I decided to proceed with Dr. Ghosh and his team. I was very fortunate to have made that decision. Today, several years after the surgery, and having done all the required muscle / strength rehabilitation and conditioning....I have had an outcome that has… greatly exceeded my expectations. My pain has been significantly reduced to nearly 90% less "chronic pain" - I haven't taken any meds since the day of the surgery, and am able to swim and even jog upto 8 miles. I look forward to possibly running a half marathon, but this is only a possibility due to the wonderful talent & skills and giftedness of Dr. Ghosh and his dedicated team. I am forever grateful Dr. Ghosh chooses to share and cultivate his talents so that others may live better more abundant lives. Thank You Dr. Ghosh and Team!

Amazing doctor and staff!! Never sugar coats results! Amazing help and support! COuldnt ask for any better

i made an appointment to see Dr. Ghosh after researching good neurosurgeons and kept my appointment this morning. When making the appt office staff indicated that Dr. Ghosh would not accept my Medicare for the appt, but that I had the option of paying $100.00 cash for him to look at my X-rays and probably order MRI studies of my neck and lower spine. Today I drove the 100 miles to the scheduled appt only to be told that the office person I spoke to had made a mistake and that the consult was actually $400.00. I asked the office staff to check again with Dr. Ghosh. I was told "no"'that I wouldn't be seen for the $100.00 quoted, and handed back my X-rays. I was speechless. The girl who made the appt with me was very clear on the phone about all aspects of the appointment including that Dr. Ghosh did not take Medicare. Today the office staff was polite and the office was clean. I feel confident that Dr. Ghosh is also a great physician, but never got to meet him. I also feel that he… should have rectified the issue with his staff and made an accommodation because of the error that occurred. I am a medical professional in private practice myself and feel that integrity is paramount. This morning Dr. Ghosh had an opportunity to do the right thing and failed to do so.

My husband was in a motorcycle accident last year and he has been in severe pain. Dr Ghosh operated on his neck and was able to explain everything as we went through it in a way we understood. It's a scary thing letting someone operate on you. The surgery went very well and Dr Ghosh did an excellent job. Although my husband still has a few more issues from the accident his neck isn't one of them. Thank You Dr Ghosh and your staff for doing an excellent job!

I had a very good experice with dr.gosh and amanda and all the staff at the alvarado location, very helpful answered all my questions. Had a pretty fast recovery after my biopsy, the inscision on my neck and behind the ear was a bit bigger than i had thought it would be. But they did a great job, and fixed up a csf leak i had about 3 weeks after my first surgery. Both pretty fast recoveries. Thank you dr.gosh and staff for your great service

So far I have been taken great care of by Dr. Ghosh and his staff. Dr. G has spent quality time with me reviewing my symptoms and MRI's etc that are a result of a day at a water park turn into one of the worst injuries I have ever had. What I appreciated the most was our efforts as a team to exhaust all options of pain management and PT before coming to the decision that no relief is in sight without surgery. I had already been referred to Dr. G's office by other friends and patients so I'm very comfortable moving forward with Dr. Ghosh and his team.

I was referred to Dr. Ghosh by my corporate physician. She had heard good things about Dr. Ghosh. I went to several other neurosurgeons. They were all excellent but I just liked Dr. Ghosh'es confidence and frank manner.My surgery was quick and the result was excellent. My recovery time was minimal. The incision, with a little more time will be minimal and not noticeable. The pain I have felt for a long time is gone.I've noticed that others feel that Dr. Ghosh and Amanda did not spend enough quality time with them. My time with them was brief. I don't need alot of hugs and hand holding. I just needed them to provide me with the information I needed to make decisions, which they did to my satisfaction. They are seeing alot of patients. I don't think it would be fair to others if Dr. Ghosh and Amanda had to spend several hours caring for my psychological needs when all they really needed to do is fix my neck.Amanda is truly capable. I had an issue late on a holiday night. I… called. They transferred me to her even though she was at a social event. I explained to her my concerns. She told me what to expect and under what circumstances to come back to the office.For those who felt abandoned and that they didn't get enough time, you might find other surgeons even more unavailable. Dr. Ghosh stated he was starting to take less patients to try and spend a little more time with each patient. I hope he doesn't.
