Dr. Sanjay Prasad, MD

Dr. Prasad is totally amazing. He and his nurses are so efficient and nice! They all need a raise! Thank you so much for putting my health in the hands of true professionals.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was in and out of there within 5 minutes. Nurse told me doctor would explain (without getting into personal info) this and that to me, instead he told me to come back when I got another ear infection…after I had already waited 3 months to get in for an ear infection that ruptured my ear drum in June. So I’m supposed to wait until I’m in excruciating pain/my ear drum ruptures again to come see you? “Treat em and street em.” Dr. Prasad, I will no longer be seeing you as a patient and I see a lot of people are thinking the same. Good luck and I hope this gets in the hands of the right people who will do the right thing.

I have had 2 great visits with Dr. Sanjay Prasad. Highly recommended.

Had to wait 45 minutes in exam room, finally asked nursing why it had been so long, then he showed up. He was very rough, I had pain for several days after the exam. Did not seem to listen or care.

Went to him for a second opinion regarding hearing loss in one ear. He just heard my complaint and suggested surgery. He barely spent 5 minutes with me and didn't do anything more than hear me out and a quick look in the ear. Later he billed over $300 for some kind of procedure (separate from the doctor fee) that was not covered by insurance. I called the office and requested to speak to the doctor to find out why he billed for something that was not done. No one called back and ultimately they sent it to collections, ruining my credit history.

Not for kida, rude, held my son's neck because he cried when he tried to clean ear. Both visits Doctor got angry and gave up trying to clean ear in order to dx after a few minutes but stilled billed long office visit + $115 surcharge for ear cleaning. Went to the urgent care pediatrics and fixed problem in 10 minutes. Tis doctor is not for kids and pads bills

This doctor scared our kids and pressed his finger to his face and neck because he cried during ear exam. I am shocked... We are not helicopter parents at all this doctor was not good or patient...We got this number from PM pediatrics, but turns out this is new doctor at this office.

I waited 50 minutes for Dr. Prasad. I was told he was stuck in traffic (my appointment was at 8am) and then when he finally arrived he said he was actually in an emergency consultation for an ear surgery. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I received 2 different stories (both unbelievable). The billing dept. said even though I waited so long and got nothing of value that I still need to pay the bill. That's not service. Dr. Prasad seems to care about one thing, and it's not you.

Dr. Prasad saved my hearing. I have a rare condition called Cholesteatoma which is abnormal growth of cells in the middle ear that destroys the delicate bones of the ear and causes hearing loss. Dr. Prasad specializes in this area. He outlined a clear treatment plan for me that involved 2-3 surgeries. Despite my terror of surgery, I followed his instructions and was rewarded with the complete eradication of disease in my inner ear and improved hearing. Dr. Prasad is extremely direct and not always on time so if you get hung up on those things maybe he is not for you, but if you want an excellent clinician in the ENT area, I highly recommend him.

In March, 2017, I responded to an announcement on a reputable DC radio program promoting Sinuplasty Surgery performed under the practice of Dr. Sanjay Prasad. After contacting Dr. Prasad's practice, I was referred to Dr. Jared Tompkins. Dr. Thompkins informed me that he worked under the oversight of Dr. Prasad and, Dr. Prasad would be reviewing his cases and may even be present during the Sinuplasty surgery which I ended up having performed in April, 2017 by Dr. Thompkins. (Note, it was reviewing the relationships of experiences of former patients of Dr. Prasad and, being told that Dr. Prasad would supervise the procedure that I developed confidence to pursue this procedure with this practice!) I contacted the practice twice this week (November, 2017) over a concern I have with my sinus irrigation. I was told that Dr. Thompkins is no longer with this practice and, the practice has no forwarding information for Dr. Thompkins. When I asked to speak to or see Dr. Prasad to discuss… the issue, I was told Dr. Prasad does not specialize in sinus issues; his speciality is with ears; if I am having problems, I should consult my primary care physician!
